None iPad compatible yet, that I know of. But in time it will happen.

in iBooks type in the word FREE. There are page after page of free books to download from the Apple store.

And on the other side are the 12.99 ones that were just released.

Some of the books on iBooks are 12.99 and the same book on Kindle are 9.99

Get the kindle app and buy the kindle ones, save the $3....

I have 5 different readers on my iPad. To me the ability to buy from most any bookstore is a must. I still have not bought a book from Apple....
