Isn't Active X a component of Flash? IF it is, you can not get flash on iPads. But you knew that, right?

All the candy for the iPad Is "non" signed apps and therefore needs a Jailbreak.

"Frash" is a plugin to the existing default safaribrowser on the iPad that can handle Flash. Little anoying to have press the Flash icon, but for the ones that really really needs flash It´s an option. And It´s verry slow sometimes, but still, It´s flash.

If you are trying to access the web server on your Pelco DVR, you're out of luck. ActiveX is IE only.

Called Pelco today, actually. No plans to support the iPad natively.

And RDP (I.e., terminal services aka remote desktop) won't work, either - can't handle the frame rates needed for the web client or the Pelco Windows app.

Here is a kind of solution which does not involve a jailbreak. I use Teamviewer on my iPad to see and control the screen of my Windows PC back home. Of course my windows pc has IE and ActiveX so I can see the web cam or surveillance cam on my iPad by using Teamviewer to look at my PC monitor back home.

By the way, if you are traveling in China and want to get past the censored sites (e.g BBC, Google, Poker, Porn, Gambling) etc you can use Teamviewer in the same way. I use it on my iPad to play PartyPoker while in China, again via my home PC.
