Ipad4 connection to TV

Can I connect an Ipad4 to a HD Tv and watch on the Tv, a program from BBC Iplayer that I am able watch on my Pad,if OK what equipment do I need? - Is just a cable? Or also some hardware?

Yes............you can mirror whatever your doing on your iPad to your TV.
The extras in Apple TV are pretty cool also....

Not necessarily true that you can mirror everything.
I have an App for NZs TV on demand which comes up with a message that it won't allow you to mirror it's program's. everything else seems to wok fine.
