Hi everyone. Can anyone tell me why I get sent back to the desktop unexpectedly when I am using safari? It
Seems to happen quite often when I am resizing a map or image, but it can happen at any time. I have an Apple screen protector on the screen. The unit is about a year old. This only started happening recently. Usually when I hit the safari icon I am returned to the web page that I got booted off of, but sometimes I just get returned to the home page. Is there a fix for this? Thanks to anyone who recognizes the problem and has some advice.
Hi and welcome to the Forum!

It seems to me that your Safari app is crashing because there is not sufficient ram available to run it. Some websites need more ram to run than others and the same can be said about different apps. It's a good idea to close apps completely as this step will free up more ram. Apps can sometimes just play up and it is best to close it completely and then relaunch it. From the home screen do the four finger swipe up or double press the home button to reveal your multi task bar. These are all the apps that you have opened at one time. Long press the app until it jiggles and a red minus sign will appear above it. Press the minus sign, this will close the app, not delete it, now press the home button to return to your screen. It's also a good idea to close all these apps, as it helps the iPad run smoothly. Let us know how you go.
