Sure, though you shouldn't expect too much. I just went to a website that offered a lot of iPad wallpapers free, and downloaded (a lot of) the ones I liked. Then I spent about half an hour experimenting. First, overall color is important. this is going to affect the background color of the folders. They will usually be lighter than the median color of the wallpaper. Sometimes this looks nice. Other times it looks bland. In the worst case the folder background will blend in with portions of the wallpaper, leaving you with a group of tiny icons to look for. Which is why I ended up with a fairly uniform color and gradient in the wallpaper I chose. But I am also biased towards non- distracting patterns. Something that is pleasing to the eye, but quickly fades from awareness. I also tend to dark colors, especially blue or black, but that is only personal preferences, I'm sure. Another thing to hold in mind is the new parallax effect. This moves the picture behind the icons as you tilt the iPad, creating the illusion that the icons are slightly raised from the background. To achieve this the wallpaper picture must be slightly zoomed in, so there is space around the edges to accommodate the movement. Wallpapers for iOS 6 and before don't take this into account. When you pick one be aware that there will be cropping. Another of the results of the parallax effect is that the iPas (apparently) has to do some major computing on the wallpaper ahead of time to make it smooth and responsive. On my iPad 3 this makes for an unresponsive setup. The wallpaper takes too much time to load the preview, then it lags when zooming or positioning the preview, and finally, when you tap a button to apply it sits there like a child (or my dog) pretending it did not hear you; just to make sure you know it will do things when it is darn well ready. But this is one of the few places I've noticed lag issues, and it is not used often (by me), so I can live with it. In the end my recommendation is to do what I did. Load up on potential wallpapers, then when you have some spare time, experiment. Here is what I'm using for now. <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=48140"/>

Notice you'd this "To achieve this the wallpaper picture must be slightly zoomed in, so there is space around the edges to accommodate the movement." Sorry to be thick but how do you adjust the wallpaper to allow this effect?

In slightly less than 48 hours since the launch of iOS 7 it is already running on over 41% of iOS devices, with downloads proceeding at the rate of about 6.3 million per hour. With the size of the updates being 1.2-1.3GB, that's 2.2 terabytes of data every second.

My ipad3 is running very slowly since upgrading to IOS7. Everything takes longer, looks blah, and that glaring white background is harsh on the eyes. Battery drain? Absolutely! I definitely regret upgrading to IOS7.

Yeah! Thats the word - 'everything'. Whats fast? I even have to wait for a bit too long when I want to move my cursor from one place to another. The apps auto shut themselves as soon as we exit - a bit if time loss, specially when you know tgt you would be coming back in 5 minutes.

You need to swipe the mini screen above your running program icon to close it.

How does the iOS 7 update go out? I have yet to get any notification about it. I'm guessing they hit everyone at different times over the course of weeks. Is this a good assumption?

If you aren't on the latest version of iOS 6 then to update OTA you will need to update iOS 6 first then it will show the iOS 7 update........it took me a while to figure this out!

I didn't get any notice but when I went to Settings>General>Software Update it shows up there. Personally, I'm holding off for a while before updating.

The wallpaper is automatically zoomed the amount nessacery. I mentioned so you could keep it in mind when searching for new pictures to use; avoid ones where the image depends on seeing the edges to look good.

You can zoom in more by using the standard two finger pinch-in and pinch-out gestures that work in Photos, Safari, and most other zoomable apps.

I just downloaded iOS 7 on my iPad and have a suggestion. The new calendar has taken, in my opinion, a major step backwards. The old version had a link to all the months in a given year which was great for creating work appointments. The new version I have to scroll through all the months. This is awful! Can they add that feature back please? Thanks!

Is this what you are looking for? You can see the whole year in one go. It was harder to find on the iphone, but has a tab at the top of the screen on the ipad.

Don't do it boys and girls. If you like the crisp interface with 3D icons and soft backgrounds... It's now boring white with black letters and 2D icons. I'm an engineer always longing for change but in this case I wish there was a "classic view" like Microsoft had for its PC. PS my mom and dad find it hard to see the pencil thin back and forward buttons. That's just a taste. Research some screen shots of the new interface before upgrading.

Took a few tries but once it started it was fine. iPad 3. Tried to go through iTunes but it said I was using the latest version so I updated over the air from the iPad. Seems more fluid? Faster. So far everything is fine. I like it.
i love it I don't understand the negativity.. Download the app called Iphone tips very helpful!
