Image/Photo Thread Of Any Images You Would Like To Share....

Hey, Gabe, thanks for showing me how to do that! Very COOL! So cool it's FROSTY! :D. I really appreciate those sites you posted, downloaded them and wow, some very great stuff in there! Is that picture shown above taken in London ?

That is the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliment) in London.....now another neat little thing which you may or may not have found, go to any area in the world, pick a photo then to the right of the description is a tiny play button, tap that and you get a slide show of photos from that area......it's even cooler!

Thanks Gabe, I was reading about that being available but didn't know how to use it! MY HERO!! AGAIN!! They called a ? Wheel, right?
BTW , we use the same clock app! But it doesn't show me Kent, UK? What would I have to put in to know what time it is there? The UK doesn't have the same time zone everywhere does it?

We do have the same time zone everywhere, we are a tiny place punching way above our weight in the world......as I recall we are about the same size or maybe smaller than Michigan.....we are at the beginning of time, Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)......you could put London in.

You've lost me with the wheel comment though? Are you talking about the photo with the Ferris wheel in it, it's known as the London Eye?

I was wondering if GMT was all of the UK and that they started it there because your whole country was one time zone? Funny I was wondering about GMT and you explained it to me! THANKS! Time for me to watch SNL then get some reading done to put me to sleep. Oh, and I'm a Canuck, live right beside Vancouver island that is compared to England for some things. Well the capital of BC, Victoria is there. I will have to check out the sq mile ratio, or meters if I HAVE to! :D. Good night, Gabe. Expect an extra burst of great energy tomorrow sometime. Mother Teresa herself, taught me how to do it!
Sorry, I'm sleepy, and didn't catch the wheel thing. I will look again but I thought the option you were talking about, the panorama of touching one picture and then you see a whole bunch of that same place, I often 'see' what words mean, I could have just thought/heard wheel when they actually used a different word. It wasn't panorama though, I'm pretty sure. Check out tomorrow and I let you know what word I saw! Off to the land of NOD I hope! Thanks again for all of your help ,

We are actually on British Summer Time (BST) right now, I think we move back or forwards (I can never remember which) to GMT in October.

I think it will be back. The night time changes, there's one hour more to sleep. :-)

Ever wonder what BST stands for for farmers? You got it! It changes at the end of October I think. Here's how to remember what happens to the time. It SPRINGS FORWARD & FALLS BACK! That's why I love the fall one better! An extra hour in the day!
Hey, remind me or ask me about how there used to be 10 month's in a year. So, even though Octo means 8 it is really the ninth month. December was for 10! Dece-

Hey, that's Latin! :-)
October is the 10th month, btw.

I totally agree with you. She is one of the most well balanced people I have ever met. I love teasing her and I think she likes giving it right back to me! I lost my mom to cancer when I was 22. I had just begun to get to be a friend more than a daughter, I am SO grateful & glad I got to that place even if it only lasted 1 1/2 yrs! before that we tangled with each other quite a lot. My sister was VERY close to my mom and created trouble whenever my mom and I began to get along. But once I had gone thru University and then spent a few mo.s traveling alone to Greece, my mom figured I was grown up and equal. My sister was married a year before so it gave mom and I chance to have some fun! Whenever I am having a really bad time my mom comes to visit. When I found out I had cancer my mom came to me one night, I felt my bed go down on the edge where she was sitting! I don't know if you believe stuff like that but I have had the experience so it's not a matter of belief for me. When I broke my back and had to go for a CT scan, I lay on my back, they put your arms straight up over your head and crossed at the wrists. I was terrified I would end up paralyzed, but as I was laying there, going thru that machine, I felt both her hands in mine! You know how you'll NEVER forget your mom's hands, how they feel, etc and even though she had been gone for almost 11 yrs by then! So, I know how lucky you are. A mom holds the family together. My kitty is standing on my shoulders, head, iPad - she wants some cuddles so I better go! It has been lovely meeting and getting to know you a bit. I'm sure we'll be good friends.uh oh she's losing her patience and letting her claws out so my T-Shirt is getting shredded. Bye, good night, sweet dreams.

It's good you came to the point your mother was a friend to you, even if it didn't last very long. But you did had the chance to be her friend and i think thats a very important point for both, mother and daughter. I never had the experience to be visited from a person that's gone, but just because i never had a moment like this doesn't mean that it's not real. It's very good for you that your mother is with you in your bad times. I think a mother some kind of always is there ( in your heart or mind etc) and can help you in bad times even if she's not really there. But remember you are your mothers daughter, so it's a little bit of her in you too.
Nice kitty, she knows what she wants :-)
