I guess they'll eventually have to distribute the extra cattle to other areas to prevent overgrazing.
Quite possible. I know that there's another herd in Sarrod (Hungary).
There are a few restaurants where it's possible to get specialities made of beef from these herds, afaik. 3 or 4 in my region, so really just a few.

We went from London to Wales to the Outer Hebrides down to Dover and then back to London for a few days. All my pictures are on film - I should get a slide scanner. I wonder how many DPI I'd need to get a decent pic.

The most wildlife I saw was in a park called "The Wash". We saw and heard Cuckoos (the US Cuckoos don't make that famous 'clock' call) and a number of other birds I couldn't identify. We did see Puffins somewhere, but I don't remember where that was. The only time I wandered to the 'wrong side of the road' was after I turned around to see some feral long haired goats. Heard some good Jazz in Scotland, and met so many nice people. Good memories.

Yep, the crocs look scary. But I think an adult is too big for them to chase. However, like the gators, I wouldn't want them to think I'm threatening them.

Most of my photos of America are on film, scanned a few. Fond memories eh?
What do you mean the wrong side of the road?? The left side is the right side, ask the guys down under even they've got the left side right:confused::D
I've a Cuckoo that feeds from my garden. the Wash in Norfolk is a beautiful place and can be dangerous with the tides and mud.
When in Dallas I'd go to the Mesquite rodeo weekly even got myself some cowboy boots and a Stetson a friend gave me a shirt that looked like it was squirted out of a toothpaste tube.
A few visits to to the Texas Rangers and in a box watching the Dallas Cowboys once. We we're staying in a McDonald house at that time. Oh and your food and coffee! I put 2 stone on
My pals laugh at this, a cockney talking plastic cowboy

I was on the right side and in the UK the right side is the wrong side. Other than the u-turn, I Did OK. in the Caribbean, many if the islands drive on the UK side of the road, but use USA cars. Now that's a challenge for the occasional visitor.

Hey! You look like a real cowboy

I liked the big English breakfasts and came back with a little extra baggage under my belt.

It definitely helps when you use good technology to take a photo and the iPad fits the bill.

Captain Wales (Prince Harry) has just finished his tour of Adelaide and finds it great fun to throttle a toy koala:p

The sailboat is what made this shot stand out. I took about 20 - after being raised on film, it's so nice to be able to take plenty of pictures without being concerned about the cost or environmental impact.

Sorry about the huge size, I forgot to shrink it before uploading.

That looks very European, like it could be in Prague or Budapest.

Regina, that would be Saskatchewan?

I've been to New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Labrador, Quebec, Ontario and Yukon, but not to Saskatchewan yet.

I've seen a few water spouts while at sea. They weren't this big though.

The lagoon is 2 miles wide and rather shallow (except for the dredged channel) and we don't get them often, and when we do, they rarely go ashore. The power lines in the picture come from a nuke plant on the barrier island. Fortunately, no harm was done.

When mother nature throws a fit, it's exciting and sometimes frightening. I used to have a 27' sailboat. I'd hate to see one of these close to me while sailing.

The hull speed was 6 knots, and the inlet to get back home has been clocked at 9 knots. We'd have to plan according to the tides, and if we were 'outside' when the tide was rushing out, and a storm came, we'd just have to ride it out. -- and in the summer, it's the rainy season, and thunderstorms can crop up in a hurry.
