I'm new and...HELP!

Hi Guys,

I've been an Apple user since the 80s. Have an iPhone. We just bought an iPad for my kid and I'm super worried about porn, etc.

Is there anyway to do any of the following unnoticed and/or without jailbreaking?:

Blocking sites?
Monitoring activity?
Any news on anything like this on the horizon?
