I'm New

Hello All, I'm new to iPad as I just got my first used unit. How do I sync it to my desk top? I've been using it for a week as is, without the sync and am worried about loss of all so far if I do something dumb.

If you upgrade to iOS5 then there'll be no need to sync to your desktop - you'll be able to use iCloud to sync all your purchases etc...
