I'm tracking my dock. It's out for delivery. And it's actually 2 days ahead of the scheduled delivery! Put out my Pre-Sign on my door so I don't miss it. It's all I got until "Late April". Humor me...

iam like a kid on Xmas morning for the UPS driver bought me my ipad and a couple of the things i order the sling bag from kensington and usb charger unit for travel and clear hardshell plastic back cover for the unit and a slip case i order ..so far i still get about three more items i might those items before weds morning when i have to leave for the week.. ..

i am going to take a nap then get up and start to play with it when i get up in a few hours .. i been up all night makeing sure a program was running right with the software running the way it should... ..it feels very good to the hands tried the unit in the slip case and the sling bag and notice a big diff in the weight of the bag loaded with the items iam going to take with me weds morning..than the regular laptop backpack case ..for me it a major change in travel not to try and take the kitchen sink in the house also ..

iam going to wait intill i fresh and have a clear head to turn it on and try to deal with any problem with hooking up to the computer snycing with the desktop and the unit ..

ok here the deal guy i cheated i went to the apple store and had them do it for me along with loading all the music from my old 1st gen ipod unit along with the games and other applications onto the unit ..at right now iam at 40.gb of used space ..most of that is music i took off the ipod unit at 35.gbs of my total music library on the unit ..i have it backed up to a 500.gb protable hard drive also and the cd from the music i loaded are at the cabin in Az so i can reload the music if i need to

i did watch the guy do all the things that need to be done so if have to do them it at a late date i can do it along with he showed me the basic steps of doing the all the stuff ..

so here the basic report ..i sitting here looking at the unit and thinking to myself ..great little unit apple has hit it out of the ball park with this one ..i can see why the apple haters are on a roll about the unit it going to be the pad to beat in the next few years ..they are really going to hate the next gen of the ipad unit ..

so here my basic take on the unit ..you can take or leave it as they say ..


me i like the way the unit is set up .. no camera or other things that i really do not need in a OS and the unit it self ..

great flash drive at the 64.gb level the system runs smooth with basic 24.gb of space for upgradeing any program i need to ..

most of the stowage space is with my music library i have.. i am giveing the ipod unit to someone in the family to use ..

the OS system is easly for me to use along with it does what it needs to do when running a application it runs it fast and smooth ..

as far as multi tasking i work on one thing at a time like games or music i like to listen to after a hard days work or i need a break to clear my head i listen to music and close my eyes and relax and think about the problem with the music going through my head ..

i did have a few little problems but that was do to me not really understanding the system just yet and i made the problem ..just hit the home button and i started over again .. .

.the sceen is nice and crisp along with it easly to read on some of the apps i have installed .even without my reading glass i could see the fine print in some of the apps a lot better than on the iphone turned sideways.

the game applications seam to come a live on the screen ....for games i chose off the apps store are games like -

diff type of chess games --.

diff types of card games -- spades-- blackjack -texas holdem-- solitare---hearts.---5-card stud- --

board games -x-checker --go--etc- etc etc

casino slots machine game

triva pursit game

this are all the games i have on the unit right now and that should keep me going for a while .. on the unit for playing in total about 15 diff types of games on the unit for personal playing ..

i messed around with the unit for about a hour now and going someplace to try the Wifi out in the morning to try out the Wifi ..

the guy who set my unit up did comement about the Wifi unit for i ask him about that and his basic comment was . some people are complaining about the not a strong signal in some of the units and he said that every unit is basicly the same and you need to find a good strong Wifi signal and it should work without any problems ..but he also said as all unit there is good and bad Wifi set up also ..

i packed my the little sling bag with the basic items iam takeing with me and checking the weight on the bathroom scale it tips the scales at just under 4.1/2.pds total with everything i have in the bag..so that basicly a wieght saveing of 18.pds of stuff i no longer have to carry..

-x-reading glass in hard shell case
-x-IronKey usb secured stowage unit with the new software program for the up grade..
-x-small 3.x 5. sized note pad with pen unit for note takeing ..

-x-extras moeny broken down in diff bills for the taxi ride into the big apple in ziplock plastic bag
-x-cell phone power cord for the travel type with the folding prongs unit for compact stowage in a bag ...

this all packed into the bag ..along with a paperback novel to read on the flight ..i can not reall do anything else but sit there and read or write down notes for work to do list.. iam not a big fan of how the tsa works when flying and it puts me on edge at times when i have to deal with them

so in the morning i go test the Wifi at a breakfast shop i go into and see if how well it work..
