Ah ok. So RAM not vulnerable to magnets?

also, i recently got apple external bluetooth keyboard. would like to easily carry this with my Targus 360 case. maybe with a rubber band or something. any ideas on how to pack keyboard with your case?

I've never heard of magnets effecting Flash RAM, a statuary magnetic field that is. A rapidly moving magnet would induce an electric current which could possibly alter components, but I wouldn't want to try it.

You two got it wrong, the iPad uses Flash memory, RAM is RandomAccesedMemory and is used for all processes for the iPad.

Not forgetting that the iPad has magnets built into it's chassis for use of the Smart Cover, so they must know what they are doing :)
