After reading an I book, I check it's box, then delete, but it remains there?

Just as a first thought, have you checked the Settings App to see if you have any restrictions set (Settings>General>Restrictions)?

You have restrictions set for everything, which is why you can't delete your book, this is my restrictions settings (all off).....

If you want to keep your restrictions then just slide iBooks setting to off, delete the book(s) you want gone, then slide back to on again.

Actually, everything in his screenshot is the same as yours, just restrictions have been enabled and a pass code set. Unless something further down the page was changes his settings aren't restricting anything right now as the defaults allow everything same as no password.

Question for the op. are they not deleting at all, or are you able to delete but they come back next sync?

Hi Guys
Just checked again, moved the iBook slider on Restrictions list, opened iBooks, checked the circle by book, edit, delete, but book still there, only thing that happens, is a down arrow appears on right of that line.

AH! I know what's happening then. Books purchased from the iBookstore in the newest version show up in your library even when deleted unless you change a setting. The book is being deleted.

If you want iBooks to revert to the old behavior close ibooks and remove it from the multitask bar as well. After that go to Settings > iBooks

Set Show all purchase off and then open iBooks again. It may take a few seconds but the deleted books should disappear :)

I turned that feature off right away so I almost forgot it was there :)
