Get the app Photo Transfer App on both devices, and away you go. Both devices need to be on the same wifi network at the time.

ACtivate icloud and photostream and bingo they are on your ipad, iphone and pc too if you wish.

I got PHOTO TRANSFER APP, and flawlessly was able to transfer photos from my android phone to my mini in seconds!!
