How do I see the AVI files which an App creates?

I have an iPad app which generates avi files
I can view the files fine in the app but I want them on my PC

iTunes seems totally dis-interested, despite the 'help' in the app saying they can be downloaded via iTunes

Any ideas please?

I have found a program called iTools which runs on Windows and Mac.

Not only can you access the data files, they have the same filenames as those in the App
