History bar and color at to of ipad1,prob!

On my ipad1 the color at the top where the bar is turned black with white lettering. But most important on the history book on the book marks the " clear history" turned black and will not show recent viewing. Please if anyone can tell me if I've gone into settings and turned,pushed or touch something please tell me.
