Hi,
I just got my ipad2 a month ago. I have no idea what I'm doing but I like it! All has been well until yesterday when I pushed the mail app and it went to blank screen. I have been receiving hotmail until that happened. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Kathy

Hi Nike...does your mail app become unresponsive? Have you done any of the immediate fixes yet?

Have you tried to do the following?

Do the first 2 steps first. Save step 3 as a last resort.

1. Force the app to close?
2. Try to restart your iPad?
3. Try to do a soft reset?

You can try this in order, if an app becomes funky.

Force the app to quit by pushing the home button twice to bring up your multi-task bar. This will show all the apps that you have visited. By long pressing the app in question, it will begin to jiggle-press the red circle with the negative sign on the app. It will only quit the app and not delete. Than try to re-open the app and test out.

If that doesn't work, restart the iPad by pressing the power switch down to power off.

Third is to do a soft reset by holding the power switch and home button together until you see the apple logo. Hope that helps!

Tulsa,
Thank you skimonkey. I just found your reply. This is a first on forums too! I don't know what happened but it is mysteriously working. I did buy a book, the missing mannual for ipad2, and it's great. But I seem to manage to find an issue that is never in a book. Thank you again for your response.

No problem, Nike! Glad it worked out for you! Sometimes those mysterious things are a good thing, eh?

Take a look at the free iBook downloads for your iPad mentioned above. That will also help you along with your book!

Have a good one!
