Haha! No, I didn't whittle her! We were in a local wood-art shop in the middle of nowhere. We saw her in the window as we were walking out and fell in love She had a silly price tag, but we were feeling a bit mad and bought her anyway. The shop owner told us she was made by a local artist from one beam of wood in an old church that was torn down..she's signed on her belly . The pig, not the artist! You'd have to ask her "why a pig?" and not a cross, lol! But I'd say, "why not a pig?" She's big, too. That's why she's on the floor, and not on a table. I just love her, and she quirky and besides, who else has a huge, wooden, holy pig? GC: EyeC999 Level 86

I'll call them, suey! (No, no, that's for the other other white meat!). Here chickie, chickie! Eggzactly, they've all flown the coop! This is getting rather corny! This little piece of joy was given to me by my grandmother when I first moved out on my own. She gave me all kinds of useful stuff....and this!



We have no idea what it is...it is made of solid wood, but has a hole in the bottom about the size of a pencil. It is too big and too heavy to go on a pencil.
My brother calls it "Two guys in a hot tub". No idea what the Japanese characters say on it.
We send it back and forth as a "gift" regularly. I got it as a housewarming present, a birthday present, a wedding gift, and more. He will be getting next month as a new housewarming gift, if only to get it out of the house again! That means I will get it back for either my birthday of Christmas. ;(
