I'll call them, suey! (No, no, that's for the other other white meat!). Here chickie, chickie! Eggzactly, they've all flown the coop! This is getting rather corny! This little piece of joy was given to me by my grandmother when I first moved out on my own. She gave me all kinds of useful stuff....and this!



We have no idea what it is...it is made of solid wood, but has a hole in the bottom about the size of a pencil. It is too big and too heavy to go on a pencil.
My brother calls it "Two guys in a hot tub". No idea what the Japanese characters say on it.
We send it back and forth as a "gift" regularly. I got it as a housewarming present, a birthday present, a wedding gift, and more. He will be getting next month as a new housewarming gift, if only to get it out of the house again! That means I will get it back for either my birthday of Christmas. ;(

I've been wondering that too! I mean someone has to see this, then decide "oh, just the thing I was looking for!", then reach in their wallet and pull out money and give it to someone in exchange for it. A very peculiar thought process!

This lovely thing is "art". Once again, it resides in the garage. I went to some kind of "celebration for art in schools" and the group was auctioning off pieces that kids had made. This is what I "won"...at least it was for a good cause. Why didn't I just throw it away? I guess I like what it symbolizes.
