This was a tough one! So much to choose from. In the end I chose books, because books are precious to me, and reading, literature, poetry, language, words have been a recurring and enduring theme throughout my life. Literacy is liberating, empowering, life-saving. Anth, the picture your chose to represent books and literacy is beautiful. Words are precious - what you read or speak tells a lot about a person. Words can be encouraging, uplifting, loving. They can also cut like a knife and say the horridness of life.

I Love it when peeps say that about Emily's eyes. She was born cross-eyed. She had 5 operations in 4 years....spent a lot of her childhood with a patch over one eye or the other. She was a trooper.
