I have a barn of 1150 and trust me... you can never have enough barn capacity...
silo is another story though, you might be set with 800 or so.
keep buying bolts, planks and tapes, if expanding your land ain't your priority trade expansion materials for barn. I don't know your level and what you are able to produce but the developers will introduce more products soon...so more space required anyway

What the.. 1150? Seriously, what's your lvl?
I'm currently only on lvl 39.

Do you guys think it would be smart to upgrade my barn space to 500, then just stop there and sell all my building materials? I'm so tired of my barn always being full, and the building materials are taking up a lot of space.

What level are you? Do you still have more things to unlock? You have to keep that in mind that as you unlock new stuff it will take up even more space.

I don't think 500 is big enough, but it depends on how you play. I like to keep a lot of products on hand. For awhile I did stop upgrading my silo and would sell all of my silo materials to save barn space, but I kept my barn materials.

Make sure you don't have things wasting space too. A lot of times I see my barn is full and then notice I have a ridiculous amount of milk or animal feed or anything else that I can sell and easily make more of when I need it.

I'm lv 51, when I was your level I was around 600 I believe, but can't remember exactly. I only joined the forum here 3 weeks ago, and had a barn of 900 already before I started trading in here... I just buy barn materials everytime I find them (often unadvertised and concealed in between eggs or crops) and harvest like crazy. I get a few from boxes and in the past from the wheel..but I mainly buy them... that's why I always have little money lol :D

Ditto. I never keep in stock items I can always find on the paper, that includes breads, shirts, minor pies and cakes, burgers, popcorns, eggs etc. You'd be surprised by the amount of space those "junk" items take...

anyone interested in trading duct tapes and nails for screws and wood panel?

I have a plethora of duct tape. I could use wood panels. How many do you need?

I need help, please! My boat just came in wanting 6x6 carrot juices, and of course I don't have the juicer yet! I'm working on Captain, otherwise I'd send it on...
I'd also be willing to buy the silly things, if needed. My gc name is aminamithri.

We really recommend having all available machines before going for Captain. The boats will continue to ask for the newest thing you can make. In your case, juices.

Oh I know, but I've been lucky so far and it's the last one I need. Oh well

It's your 12th boat? I'd help but that's what my last boat asked for and I have none left. Good luck and happy farming!
