@jon: I dont browse through my friend's farms too often, but I like to help, so I like it when someone is asking through the forum for help on specific items.

Oh yeah, I'm pretty much the same, if people as in here I am happy to help. I don't like to ask for help, it doesn't feel right to me and then I feel guilty, that's not just on Hay Day, that's in all aspects of my life... Haha... I don't like to put people out, so I keep my mouth shut (yes it does happen sometimes) and get on with it myself. I just like to help people

Lol well, it is what it is. I was wanting to avoid starting a firestorm, that's why I chose my words carefully haha. I really did mean just people in general though, not necessarily from here. Just in one newspaper, I counted eleven farms that had sugar boats that they opened, but didn't fill a single one themselves. I don't like it. Makes me not want to check them at all haha

It does take me 30 min to 45 to go through everyone on my list and look at what they have or need...tap left or right arrow on the sale bin look what they have close window look to see if boat help is open click the sale box move to the next person , in about 10 sec... I have about 208 on my game channel

I love those when they are crops I followed a farm from the paper the other day just because they had 6 crates of wheat open!

That's true. It should be that you have to fill it yourself. I remember the struggle of having to fill them no matter what they came up with. I did have help from here on certain things and people rushed around helping others doing the captain achievement. Even if they had to buy them from others to help, they would be filling their own boats.

Yeah I remember I came here at the end of my captain journey. I think I had two or three boats left. But still way way harder that it is now.

Just an interesting observation:

This is not even about farmers here, just something I've really noticed while playing over the weekend. When I browse through the paper, I often look around the farms which have the advertisements placed to look for trees that need reviving, see if there's a toolbox, or to check to see if they need boat help. What I've noticed is that an overwhelming majority of people fill their boats themselves except for ANY of the sugar and dairy boxes, especially sugar. Like they don't even fill one themselves. Now, you can't tell me that people with giant barns at high levels don't have nine sugars lying around their barn. They want other people to use their own hard earned sugar to fill up the boxes. They just don't want to use their own. I just don't understand this mentality. If you wouldn't "waste" your own precious sugar on your own boat, why do SO MANY players expect others to?

Like I said, this is not about people here, just strangers farms from the newspaper.

I've noticed it too. I find it very, very hard to send boats away without filling the crates (I'm obsessive about the boats), but even I won't touch my own sugar boats now. Took a while for me to not attempt to fill the sugar ones, maybe I'm slightly OCD about casting them off, but it's a case of pick your battles, and a sugar boat is rarely a winning battle, lol. Now, if they'd kindly guarantee us a gold voucher for every sugar boat, that ups the stakes some ;-)

I have a few followers who does most/all and I don't mind helping them. In return they have filled my boats too. Then there are a couple who has the "hard" ones opened and none they filled themselves. I don't help them unless I have a lot of something which I cannot find a neighbour boat to dump (usually in the mornings, my morning).

Right now (well, before maintenance) I have a boat which every crate is open. It's an easy boat, at least to me (roasted tomatoes and coffee beans), which I want to leave open for others to get co-op points. I hate selling roasted tomatoes. My bacon and eggs sell faster than roasted tomatoes and so I get excited when I see a roasted tomatoes boat I didn't advertise here. That would be wrong. Then it's like me begging for everybody here to fill my boat when I have done captain already I like opening easy boats now and then and I do note on farm that boat's open for co-op/XP.

I do the same, that's why I will caveat it with "easy boat, fill for the XP if you want, if not I have all of the products" Or else I would feel guilty lol

Yeah, that I understand. What I'm talking about is people that will fill all their crates, or won't open them UNLESS they're sugar, then by all means, they want people's help.

Really poor timing here I know, does anyone have cream for sale? I have two crates left on my boat that need 8 cream, I've been making it all day, I can manage one crate, but need help on the last one due to time. Thanks
