Has any one else ipad glitched

Shortly after I downloaded the new software upgrade, I had one glitch. My ipad 2 is working faster than it was and more efficient. But, maybe an hour into writing in my notes, I closed the app using the five finger closing method. And, my screen went black for two minuets. So I sent it to the lock screen and it started working again. I haven't had another problem since
