The displayed messages panel (basically the right side of the screen) is "greyed out" and I can't delete, forward etc...I have 3 email accounts and this is going on only on two of them. The other account is fine. Just updated with no problems - I'm guessing this is a setting issue, but which one! Thanks.

A quick and easy possible fix is to completely reset the Mail app. Double click the Home button to open the multi task bar. Then press and hold any icon until they all start to jiggle. Now press the top upper left hand corner of the Mail icon in the multi task bar to shut it down completely. Close the multi task bar and see if the problem persists.
