Hi Fletch or Poppy,

If you could guide me to the most DC/food effective way to Gold, I would greatly appreciate your wisdom.

Level 15 Drags

Cold 14, water 13, earth 14, fire 21, air 10, plant 3, metal 7, and lightening 11.

Combination of hybrids below level 15

Cold 21, water 25, earth 29, fire 39, air 22, plant 20, metal 16 and lightening 31

All shrines are silver, besides metal 22 level 10.

I am thinking if I fed all the hybrids dragons to level 15, the balance remaining to reach gold are:

Cold 29, water 25, earth 21, fire 11, air 28, plant 30, metal 34 and lightening 19

This is not the best use of your resources for most of your dragons. It's probably fine for any that don't contain any of the Panlong Elements, but it's a waste of time feeding up any dragons with Fire, Earth, Water or Air in them (depending on the level. If they're at 14 right now, it's probably fine to feed them up.) A level 10 Dragon has only been fed 3% of the food it needs to reach Level 15. So essentially, nothing. My advice:


37 water
36 earth
29 fire
40 air

36 Panlongs will knock off Fire and Earth

1 Water
4 Air
36 Cold
47 plant
43 metal
39 lightening

Again, we're going to get stitched up here because the largest numbers required are for Metal and Plant and they don't mix. 1 Seaweed, 4 Willows, and 36 Lichen/Reindeer leaves us with

6 Plant
43 Metal
39 Lightning

6 Cactus and 33 Magnetic leave us with 10 Metals. As with lotus, let's split up 3 of those Panlongs and make 3 Chrome, 3 Rust and 3 Iron with 1 Metal left over. So

33 Panlong - Majority of Earth, Fire, Air & Water
36 Lichen/Reindeer - Majority of Cold and Plant
33 Magnetic - Majority of Metal and Lightning
6 Cactus
4 Willow
3 Chrome
3 Rust
3 Iron
1 Seaweed
1 Metal

Lichen/Reindeer and Magnetic have a combined breed time of 9 or 10 hours. You could replace them with Mine and Cactus to combine the elements in the opposite way but this is a combined breed time of 10 and a half hours.

While you're still getting 3 elements done with the Panlong, keep breeding those for Earth, Air and Water. So 21 more of those. That will leave you with:

27 Lightning
2 Earth
30 Plant
40 Cold
47 Metal

Now we're a bit stuck because Plant doesn't combine with Metal. Cold generally has the longest breed times so I'd combine Plant with it, making 30 Lichens to leave us with

27 Lightning
2 Earth
10 Cold
47 Metal

27 Magnetics, 2 Irons and 10 Mines will leave us with 8 Metal dragons to get. So,

21 Panlong
30 Lichen
27 Magnetic
10 Mine
8 Metal
2 Iron

Now because you have 8 x 1 element dragons (the Metals) you could split up 3 of those panlongs to their separate elements to combine with the metals to give you 3 Iron, 3 Chrome and 3 Rust. This will drop total dragons required by 2 and save you 3 x 36 hours of breed time (replacing each one instead with 14 hours for an Iron, Chrome and Rust dragon for a Net Gain of 22 hours). So the final tally is:

18 Panlong
30 Lichen
27 Magnetic
10 Mine
5 Iron
3 Chrome
3 Rust

96 dragons all up.

Thanks again Fletch. But I have to admit something...I'm an idiot! ;0) When I listed my current habitat levels to ask for your guidance, I completely forgot to mention the available dragons in my HC! Sorry for wasting that 5 mins of your lunch time. ;0)

I am getting an error message when trying to upload my photos to this forum. It is telling me that there is a problem with the app plug-in. Not sure what that means, or how to have it repaired. So, I just gave everyone a sneek peek in my avatar.

I FINALLY got a sandstorm which means I finally have them all! Whew! Now I need to work on getting my next island and leveling up my shrines. I'd like to have two of each dragon, but I swear getting Bluefires and sandstorms really feels ner impossible to me. And for the life of m I can't seem to get a second clover either. Oh and now with the metal dragons messing up my island plans, I need to work on prettying them up while still earning the max from each dragon/habitat.

Glad it's fixed. Wonder why dragonwish's didn't sort itself yet...these have been crazy glitches this time around.

Not sure!! I closed the app properly a few times and that didn't solve it so I just left it and logged out of GC and went back to mine , played mine for a bit then went back and it had just righted itself maybe it was the logging out of GC that fixed ours hope it does not happen every time we get a metal event lol x x x

Lol same here it's not so bad when it's cold as I don't want to go out so have an excuse to hole up an play DV ,but we have had a few gloriously sunny days here in Liverpool so DV took a bit of a back seat as I've been taking my little fella out on his bike to the park instead and we had a BBQ yesterday mmmm lol.......and it's ok to take a little time off as I've achieved all the dragons I want up to now and have half of my shrines done so I can do the last four a little slower. so I'm not always collecting as much as I can't get wifi on the iPad when I'm out so don't take it .........though if I am in the house I check as regular just take it in the garden with me lol

I'm playing today though as the sun seems to have left us again boooooooo lmao so staying home to catch up on the stuff I've ignored all week as the cleaning fairies seem to have taken the week off lol x x x

Lol. Thanks! . Yep, the shrine grind. Just can't seem to stay away from it. It is the ultimate goal for me and I just can't seem to stop myself from breeding and feeding until its done!! No patience for that on my end. I will sit there and watch the food grow just waiting to feed the little buggers up to the next level..haha. I know...crazy right!!

Yep they are very hungry tricia I saved a little over 500k food over the last few days and last night decided to use it all it got me was one cactus dragon to 15 another to 11 and a mag to 10 and it was gone lol x x x

And April I know what you mean too I went like that with the pans until that was done .....it's not crazy at all it's just the human need to achieve that makes us act like that lol ,I forced myself to take break from the grind but it's hard not to do a little bit each day but I have slowed right down compared to the way I did the pans x x x
