It suddenly just occurred to me, after reading Tommy's thoughts on the limited timing, and the fact it's called Leap YEAR and not Leap DAY - what if BFS is messing with everyone and it's NEXT March 1??? (2013) :-O

I don't think it strange, in my language leap-year is 2012, and the leapday is actually the 24th of february.

I agree with you Poppy, I'm feeling like they've thought this up as a cash cow with no regard for their loyal DVites. It's like putting an open bottle of wine on the table, pouring a glass and then saying to a recovering alcoholic 'you don't have to have a taste'!

Having said that I'm proud to say I have NOT bought gems for this dragon (although just before my last attempt last night when I was down to 6 I was sorely tempted to!) I still might buy 50 just so my gem count isn't so miserable!

One good thing to come out of this is that is caused me to achieve my silver plant shrine easily!

I personally was going to buy the gems when my 5th try didn't work and I was using gems to speed up the breeding, but for some reason my credit card would not purchase. Don't think it was over the limit, but thank goodness it would not take. Got the LPD on 6th try. I may use my last gems to speed it up (just to make sure). Anyone know what the egg looks like? Dies it go in the rainbow habitat? I have a rainbow hatching and one breeding and only one vacant rainbow habitate.

The Egg is gold. And it lives in the Rainbow Habitat.

I really don't like what this forum turns into, are you guys for real? I mean, look back, in the beginning, shaves and Brooklyn has been a lot helpful, and everybody listening to them. Both have now stayed back a little, and for example birdmaestro and Fletch are more of the people " who knows", comes with calculations, buys tons of gems and show what they can accomplish when doing that (not fletch).

It might as well be them who are the "mole" from BF.

My money is at there are no spies....

I'm wondering, would it be legal for BFS to restrict each park to just 1 LYD without telling us? Somehow I cannot believe that it is.

BFS state the Leap Year Dragon is available until March 1, not a word about "you can only breed one, a second one will have to be purchased, then you can breed all you want". It would be VERY deceptive, based on past experience in this game, if this was the case. The urgency, which we all felt from the beginning since we expected LYD to be a temporary dragon, but which was made much worse with the announcement of when the window to obtain LYD would close, lead to gem purchases which no-one would have made if BFS was upfront with us (if indeed we can only breed one).

I hope that I'm wrong about this situation, but I do feel duped into spending all my gems and buying a few more with real money...and that's not right.

If leap year dragon is only available to us for such short period, then BFS is not giving enough TKe at all!!
