No worries sounds very cold given we are coming down from 41 degrees Celsius. "phew!"

But here the spring is just about to pop, and that means a lot! It's so nice, all the plants starts To live again after the cold, dark winter.. You aussi-people, how far is it from the southcircle, do you have darker winters than summers? In the summer where I live the sun rises at 3:30 And goes down at 9ish. Now it's 7 - 16:30, so it's getting lighter! We are like bears coming out from its hibernating den (aka where bears sleeps during winters).

Some good breeding news here as well. After a bunch of bluefires I finally have my 2nd Frostfire. And Sonic and Storm at the EBI have given me another 48 hours. I have one each of Sun, Moon and Rainbow, so I don't mind which one I double up on.

Well done fletch! I can't wait to see what my 48 hr is. I really need that I haven't got any and it's habitat is going to waste

Congrats on the rare and Frostfire. They seem to be coming thick and fast at the moment.

No we're not that far south. The sun rises at about 6am and sets about 8.30pm. I feel sorry for you - I hate it when it's cold!!

First of all, welcome to the #1 game community on the 'net. I appreciate the kind words but as you know sharing is way of life around here and it's contagious. This group has been an unbelievable support system for me during a most difficult 8 weeks.

Here's a picture of what I call my Nurture Island. It's where life is created, nurtured and sustained. It's my sacred family island which is why it has a lei around it to imbue it with the Aloha spirit.

Panic and pandemonium rules elsewhere.

Poppy

Thanks Poppy for allowing me to see your island. I love it. Throughout this thread, I have picked up on your love for your family and grand children - it's been a real joy to read your comments. In the midst of your own adversity, it's so good to hear your positive spirit and your love of life still come shining through. Stay well, Di

Congratulations!! :) happy dragon dance to you!!

My love/cold combo gave me a sun and a frostfire too! I'm hoping to get a rainbow using the same combo as well..

My Grandkids

I have five small turtles on the back window of my everyday Porsche, one for each of my grandkids. It occurred to me that it would be nice to do something similar in my dragon park:

View attachment 10378

The two adult Rainbows at the top are Poppy and Nana. The baby bow right in front of us is our first-born grandchild six year old Jack (nicknamed the Judge since birth). On the left side the two bow babies represent Jack's sister five year old Snugs (Alexandra, but everyone calls her Snugs because she's sweeter than a bucket of honey) and their little brother, three year old Max. On the right side are their cousins, six year old Lilly and precocious three year old Allie.

I can get a little enthusiastic about these guys and so now when my friends ask about them I say they're small, homely and a little slow. :D

We all live in same gated community within walking distance of each other. The Cousin Posse will be at full roar at tomorrow nights Sunday Family Dinner. This is the good old days.

Poppy

Wait, what? "everyday Porsche"?? So, you have one for "good", too? >tease<

Also, I wanted to say something similar to TonyG about gems - I don't (thank goodness) have dozens of DV friends to give gems to, but enough that it takes about two or three rounds to give gems. My daughter and nephew both play, and, like Fletch does with his family, I give gems to them nearly every round. Then I just go through my list and give to whomever isn't grayed out (meaning that I just gave a gem in the round before, I think) and I know recently gave me one (skipping over Fletch, Poppy, and Poppy's grandson's acct, of course :) ).

That is to say, FIRST, thanks to all for gems! and second, I'm not a great record-keeper about this game, but third, you will get a gem back from me within a few days, and lastly, I'm NOT keeping track, so don't feel you "owe" me any - I know what goes around comes around, and it'll all even out over time. :)

Good Sunday to all!

Oh, and for those looking for fun during DV downtimes, a co-worker turned me on to Stupid Zombies - it's similar to Angry Birds in that you are a "shooter" going after zombies - they're stupid because they mostly don't move, just stand around. The fun is that you have to figure out angles - geometry - to make the "bullets" bounce off walls and other obstacles, to get the zombies. Be warned however - this game probably isn't for little kids, because the zombies' heads and body parts blast off and blood shoots out of their necks - gross, gory, usually not my style at all - but VERY funny and fun. And free! (on iPhone anyway).

I'm lazy, when I see your name, when time to give gem and write your name down, it's simply "Uli" somewhat I have assumed you are from german origins, as I think you have written that later!

Lol! I just say you-lou-ee! I know its wrong, its just the way my brain sees it
