Well, my interest is in vintage Porsches. I've had newer ones and don't find them as interesting. The vintage cars are dependable and can be driven in any kind of weather. However, we have real winters here in Central Oregon (I'm at 4,000') and they use magnesium chloride on the roads. While its not as bad as sodium chloride, it's still hard on the early cars which were not galvanized. So my daily driver is a 1992 Porsche Carrera which is bomber in the snow. Perhaps the most overlooked Porsche and a great car for the money.
Great dragon hauler too (wanted to stay on topic). They stick their head out the sunroof.
