Half hr to go and ill figure out what this 48 hr breed is. All fingers crossed
Poppy, I hope BFS comes out with something new soon to keep you interested in the game. You must feel satisfied to be almost all gold, as it was just few weeks back you didn't think it could be done. Congrats Poppy and thank you for helping all us along.

I never noticed that before, maybe because I don't really ever collect the hats on my phone, but the friends names don't show when the list is displayed. It's like they are covered by the list.
Is that always like that? I thought when BFS made the change a long time ago they changed it for all devices? It's so hard trying to remember whose park one is in. Not to mention that my eyes felt really strained. Kudos to all you iPhone players, my hat's off to you!!!
TommyB said:Sucker punch. The price per treat is ridiculously good at the low quantity levels, and there's no reward for buying bulk at all, when you take into account time to grow. Surprised this discussion hasn't arisen before.
Having awful breeding luck and frustrating days. Boo.
The amount required to get to level 10, as you have pointed out in the past, is trivial compared to going from there to level 15. I believe it costs 33X more to do the latter. So there is no way to get there with the small farms in what I would define as a reasonable amount of time - your definition is probably different from mine.
So here is the central issue.
On the one hand the game developer wants players to speed things up by buying gems. That's how they make their living. If every player had infinite patience they would quickly go out of business as they give the game away for free. So impatient players like me are their bread and butter. But then when I accelerate things, I am punished by having to pay 2.67X the amount for food that the patient, non-revenue generating players pay. And I resent that. They're biting the hand that feeds them.
Respectfully,
Poppy

Hope you get that rainbow soon! Are you breeding for it or just working on the golds?
Nice! One day I will do a renovation. Awww..that is so cool for your fiance! My husband is not a big fan either.
Oh gosh...I have a long ways to go. I'm currently working on the gold shrines and want to do a baby island at some point but I don't know yet if once I get the shrines done I'm working on now if I will stop and work on that 100 mil island or continue shrines. Probably work on the island and then go back to the shrines. Seems like just when I get something almost complete they throw out another update and then I'm scrambling!![]()
You don't think you should pay more for quicker treat delivery? What do you think should be the exchange rate for treats per coin per minute as you move up the scale? How would you have set it up?
Cheers
Fletch
I'll speak in general terms rather than specific numbers.
While this a fantasy game, I believe that the rules should be grounded in social convention. In my lifetime I cannot recall a single instance where the per unit cost went up when I bought larger volumes. And I can't recall a single instance where larger production facilities did not reduce the per unit cost by economies of scale.
So the approach by BFS offends my sensibilities and piques my spidey sense - it feels like they are exploiting their most valuable players rather than rewarding them.

1. Whilst you're saying per unit, because you're thinking of all these things as treats, you will notice that they are all given different names. The price of mushrooms cannot be compared to the price of apples, cannot be compared to the price of pumpkins. And their time to grow is probably wildly different too. Even though they are all food.
2. Similar to point 1, the larger production facilities are required to grow the specialised foods, beans, squash and peppers in an incredibly short time, not a larger quantity of pumpermelons or blueshrooms in a faster time.
drdragonlady said:Friends, need help understanding exactly how gem giving works. I read somewhere you have to visit friends to be able to receive and gift gems. Yet even when I visit everyone, which isn't always possible, some names are blanked out. Often they are people really good about exchanging gem for gem and it worries me when I can't return promptly.
