Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

Hi all I just joined iPad forums but have been reading all the dragon vale tips for several months. Just wanted to thank everyone for sharing. My islands would not be so well populated without this forum! Now if only I could get a sun. I have bred heaps of moon dragons.

Ok everyone 2 days ago I placed a pan and a plant in the ebi... I got a 48 hr dragon!!!! Well I am not the proud momma of my first rainbow dragon....... I now have 1 of them all!!!!!

Well I'm no closer in my quest for a panlong !!!! got yet another 2 ugly lavas brewing in my caves and 2 more in my nursery i must have tried 40 plus times now and wasted a shed load of gems I'm so unhappy right now my mud and blazing hate me booooooo haha

Increasing Efficiency

I decided to move the breeding cave and hatchery off my Nursery Island because it's so busy with all the 36 (I think) babies bouncing around - a lot like Sunday night family dinner at my house with the cousin posse running wild.

I moved them to the island that the EBI is connected to. The island already had the treat farms on it. So between the breeding, growing treats, and hatching eggs, it's the island I spend the most time on. So I decided to move the habitats with the shortest limit to maxing out, lightening and plant, to the same island. They max out so fast that I'm late getting there most of the time. But now every time I'm on the island for the other activities I can just click on those and gather a few coins I would have missed.

My medium limit habitats, air, fire and water, are on my Colosseum island. And my high limit habitats, earth (love earth with the new panlong) and cold (love cold with the new frostfire) are on my Chinese island.

Just provides a little efficiency in coin gathering so I don't keep waking up every two hours (I AM an addict - but better DV than pain killers).

I hate the number eight. I swear, every breeding combo I do involves eight hour times. Either the game doesn't want me to get rares, or I just realized it might want me to get heaps of cash with all the fogs and blazings I getting.

I'm seeing so many people who have not gotten the new panlong dragon and I feel for all thoughs who are still trying to get it. To help thoughs still looking for, a good combination you can try a lvl 4 mud and a lvl 10 blazing.i really hope this helps thoughs who are desperately looking for it. Good luck

I did it!

My #1 goal in Dragonvale has been reached: have a Nursery Island with one of every baby dragon. I have 5 grandkids aged 6 and under and they visit their Poppy almost every day (I'm really blessed to have all them live nearby). They like to check out my DV every time they're here. (In fact it's been a real bounding mechanism with my 6-year old grandson. He has his park and is doing really well with it.) They all love the babies and love to name them after themselves, their friends, their pets, etc.

At first I didn't know if it was possible to fit them all (the baby dragons - not the grand kids) on one island. But it is, at least for now until they introduce new dragons. I still have a little room though, because my breeding cave and hatchery are on the same island and I could move those to make room for another habitat.

I also have at least one of each adult, but it's the Nursery Island I was trying to build. And it's done!

Now to reach level 30 - I'm very close - and figure out something goofy to do with that extra island.

8 is not all bad. It's usually a $1M dragon. Beats the hated 12 hour ugly lava for $5K!

What did you breed and what level were they? I am desperately in need of working combos.

I did cold level 10 on the left and scorch level 10 on right. I was trying to get a second frostfire and randomly got this one. It took me forever though! It's rough seeing everyone getting so many rares and not getting any yourself. I guess sometimes it's the luck of the draw, but you well eventually. Good luck!

Thanks. It was a fun project putting the Nursery Island together! I'm getting very close to level 30 which entitles me to another island - for $100M! I'm working on ideas for that one. I'm very inspired by SNALFA (great park!), but I'd like to do something original.
