Maybe we could start a new thread just for gem and just leave a post saying just " hi sent gems today to the 3 or 6 names" you have sent to and if we have any names missing we can just check there and get the missing names x can't wait to see your island and brooklyns just waiting for you both to show up in my friends on DV x

I am having the same prob.....
Then last night I sent out 4 gems... This morning my other 2 gems were gone....sucks!!!!!!!!!

Oh no! That is so not right. I've only waited a couple hours because sometimes when trying to send to someone you had sent to the day before it won't let you but after a couple hours it usually resets. Will make sure now though not to wait for too long in fear it may take my gems away.

I am so furious again...I really can't even think straight! (no it's not the nicotine withdrawl, I think I'm over that now haha)

Once again I open DV this morning and this time I really have no idea if I had the "and others gave you gems" because I was writing them down as quick as possible. It started out when I opened it the game seemed open all ready (this happens everytime I open DV since the update) then it started reloading and connecting to game center...finally it says welcome back GT500Girl or whatever it says...ok so it's all blurry amd then it becomes clear. Ah ha! I received gems...I start writing as fast as possible because almost everytime it screws me! Dazz34, jbobcat and then WTF!!! The game reloads again!!! Now I have steam coming out of my ears, eyes...I have had it! My first thought is maybe I won't open the game until they get this problem fixed! I do NOT want to be the person that is not returning gems. I would NEVER do that to anyone. Then I realize if I don't open it then everyone that sends me gems will probably not receive one back. I really don't know what to do, don't have a clue if it is a GC issue or DV issue but the one thing I do know is I can't take this anymore.

How many of you are having this same problem? Should we do as phibes suggested? I think it's a good idea. Something needs to be done for sure.

Note that the dragonvale app is still running in the background after you move on to other apps.
You can avoid this problem if you turn off the dragonvale app on your device after you use it each time.

Yeh, that would work too. I'm really curious how many this is happening to...then how many don't get on the forum and they think we are not returning gems...ugh. I can even post my names ahead of time....I have my list and I still am not caught up to the one's from xmas eve. I know this because my friends kids were over that night and we added each other and then both sent me their first gems that night....I will finally repay them Thursday. The list is moving faster now though with the gem tree. Hmmm...are we showing up yet? I'll go see if I can visit you yet. Worried to open DV though. I think I'm also going to have anyone that is around at the time look with me and try to catch the 2nd line of names if there is one for gems received. Anyways my islands are a complete mess right now and until I get through these darn last 2 shrines I won't be able to do much rearranging etc.

For giving gems, my "free gift" buttons for all my friends have NOT been reset after more than 30 hours!
Does anyone have similar problem? From this forum, someone mentioned that the button will be reset
24 hours after gifting a friend.

Note that the dragonvale app is still running in the background after you move to other apps.
You can avoid this problem if you turn off the dragonvale app on your device after you use it each time.

I didn't even think of that! Thanks...will try that! :thumbs: We shouldn't have to do this but if it fixes the problem for now then I will be a happy camper.

For anyone that's not sure how to shut down apps that are running in the background double click your home button, then down at the bottom hold down the DV icon until you see the minus (-) on the icon and hit it to close.

My lord. No I have not had this problem and not sure if anyone else has. Yes, they should automatically reset every 24 hrs...

BTW I still only know of the 2 gem givers I received last night through this morning so if someone other than dazz34 and jbobcat sent me one please let me know.

I'm going to try closing DV from running in the background after each use, but if it does not work I will immediately start a new thread for gems gifted if your all on board with it or if someone else doesn't start it first.

Once everybody has the gem tree and gives our 6 gems it will slow down again though. You will probably receive more, which is nice since we can never have enough gems. Hmmm...maybe the next big ticket item will cost more because BFS knows we should have more gems? Yikes, gem deflation!!!

That happens on my iphone regularly.

You need to exit the game, press the Home button on your device twice. You should see the DV icon. Hold it until you see a little - sign. tap the - sign, the icon should disappear (don't worry, you're not deleting the game, just shutting it down all the way) Open up the game again and you should be good to go. Let us know if this takes care of your problem or if you have a question.

Do you know if we were supposed to have received credit for the LVL 15 dragons we had before the update or if that is considered a glitch?

Yeh, your right there! Guess I will take advantage of catching up as long as I can. :thumbs: Oh geez...I never thought of that. I hope not!
