I wish they would stay there too. The good thing is you know when you can give them out instead of having to hit th friends tab. I'm gonna try to just give a couple out today at first then go look at the tree and see if it is counting them down and if some actually stay on the tree if not used. Then I'll give the rest out.

I see you already found out they do disappear one at a time as you gift them. I noticed that this morning when I visited a couple of different people who have them and saw trees with only one or two gems each.
Again, such a shame they don't stay but I do like the fact it makes it easier to see when you can gift though!! I took a screen shot of mine laden with gems this morning cos I like it so much, hehe.

My first 6 gems came in MUCH earlier than I expected too. I bought my tree yesterday morning but when I checked my park/phone just after midnight last night (yup, up with my 16 month old son) they were already there. It seems the game really does know when it's the next day for you (as the description does just say "after the first day"). I initially figured they ONLY went by the centralised server clock (i.e, the reason the game needs an internet connection - to stop people changing their device's clock to speed things up) but nope, it looks like they do use your device's clock as well.

If your username here is the same as your Game Center ID then you'll probably get friends requests just from posting in here.
I hardly had any GC friends before I started posting on the forum but that soon changed, hehe.

~*My user name is not quite the same as my GC ID though, so I added a signature *points below* to my posts which lists it; even though people still miss it/ask anyway, I am certain other people just saw it here and added me. I know I myself rarely add people from here, without specifically asking, unless I know for certain what their GC ID is. I personally also accept very single request I get, as long as the person plays DragonVale! *~

The worst feeling for me now is when a new friend gives me a gem and I know it's going to take at least 3 days or more before I can return it but that person doesn't realise that and probably thinks I have just taken their gem and won't return one. I suppose I could return one the next day to all new friends but then I worry the person will get a false idea of my usual return rate and it's also not very fair to those already on my list *sigh*

Always feels weird replying to myself but I just wanted to mention that apparently the real trick to getting lots of new friends is also to post, like above, that you return gems faithfully (and maybe also that you bought the gem tree ) and accept all friends requests!! I got an unprecented amount of friends request yesterday/overnight.

Hi how to breed sun and moon dragon?

There are MANY other successful combos listed by various people within this thread but my lucky combinations are listed below in my signature *points down*
What works for one person may not work for another or it could simply be the luck of picking the right combination at the right time (there's a theory that suggest some combinations become 'lucky/active' only at certain times)

I'm done, but I can't concentrate or think right and things are coming out the wrong way but I will do my best to make sense.

Sandstorm if often a really tough one but my successful combo was Air x Mountain.
Mud x Air is another successful combination often mentioned in here. Perservere and good luck!

There was a couple people that sent me gems yesterday. I can not find the paper I wrote them down on. Is there any way to find out who they were so that I can gem them?

Through the game? - unfortunately not but if most of your DV friends are also on this forum then you can post a request for anyone who gifted you recently to PM/let you know but that's about it.
I have a specific little notebook for my list now, which I pretty much carry with me everywhere like my phone , because it was getting too messy/hard otherwise.
Many of us are hoping they'll improve the gem notification system in a future update but not sure if it will ever happen *fingers crossed*

Someone told me that in order to get a sun or moon dragon, you ha to begin breeding at the appropriate time of day, ie., sun during the day and moon at night. Do you guys think there's any truth to this?

Yeah, like StormEvans mentioned I am pretty sure this has been disproved. In fact, even though I didn't write down actual times, I know I bred both (multiple) Suns (at least one in afternoon) and a Moon (morning) in day time hours...
Would have been a nice way to do it though - and allowed us at least a little control over the dragon we get.

There are many different combos that work.

Blue fire x crystal
Sonic x storm
Snow x scorch...

For rainbow I used the gene theory and got 3 rainbows I suggest trying it. Ask GT500 for the info
