Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

I initially had this problem as well...my friends were showing up in the game center, but not in the game. I deleted Dragonvale from my iPad and reinstalled it. Not only did my friends finally show up, but I guess because of the game center information doing this did not affect my game play at all. What I mean is I still had all of my islands, dragons, coins, etc.

Not sure why you are responding to such an old post but I thought it might also be helpful, bearing in mind that there has just been an update, to add that this is quite common around the time of an update. It also means that deleting your game etc is probably not necessary.
If you, or your friends, have not yet updated but the other person has, you might find they do not show up in your friends list.
Real life example: I had just updated and got a call later that morning from one of my GC friends who said he could not see me on his friends list anymore, even though he could still see our other mutual friend. This is because they had both NOT updated and I had. They can both see me on their friends list again now that they have both updated.

(of course there are other times where deleting and reinstalling IS necessary so that's still good advice :thumbs

There are MANY other successful combos listed by various people within this thread but my lucky combinations are listed below in my signature *points down*
What works for one person may not work for another or it could simply be the luck of picking the right combination at the right time (there's a theory that suggest some combinations become 'lucky/active' only at certain times)

Yeah it's kind of depressing how quick it goes. I was at almost (only!) 50 million a little before the update, then spent 20 million on food and 10 million on the Air shrine...
Since the update, despite saving as much as possible otherwise, I've bought my island for 10 mill and various other buildings/decorations/habitats etc so I'm not yet even back to 35 mill
Maybe, since I'm not planning to level up my dragons past 10 just yet, I'll be able to catch up to some of my high earning friends this update though?!!

Did they come back for you after 24 hrs? Mine came back early yesterday but seemed consitant today with yesterday's time.

I got mine yesterday afternoon but they did not come back until this evening.

Sandstorm if often a really tough one but my successful combo was Air x Mountain.
Mud x Air is another successful combination often mentioned in here. Perservere and good luck!

Haha, GT500Girl and I were just discussing that the other day, because my Rainbow hatched named Geoff (is now called Bright) and she realised one of hers still was too.

Hmmm, I've finished arranging my newest (4th main) island but I'm not sure I actually like it...
I try to do something a little different for each island but this is substantially different to the others and I keep vacillating between "yeah it's different and I like it" and "ugh, too busy/messy/uneven looking"

Heh, I guess I'll decide for sure sooner or lately and make changes, or not, accordingly
