Can't breed Sun, Moon or Rainbow!

Help! Can anyone give me some advice... I love this game, but I cannot for the life of me breed sun, moon or rainbow!

I am Level 22 (almost 23). I have all islands and have used all decorations and made my parks very elaborate and decorative. I have all the shrines (available so far) and a couple are past the 50 dragon minimum to turn silver... I am breeding ALL day non-stop in both breeding caves. I've scoured the internet for all the help and forums and tried every suggested combo over and over for months! It feels like at least a hundred+ times! And yet I still do not have a sun, moon or rainbow. I've litereally done everything the forums say over and over, and nothing! And it took me FOREVER to get a sandstorm. I had to breed for months to get that one. What am I doing wrong!

Any suggestions?

You're not doing anything wrong, it's just that they're very rare and you have to get lucky that's all.
I just got myself a sun dragon egg after weeks of trying to match scorch with cold. Finally the luck kicked in and I got one.
It was made in the regular breeding cave btw, my epic one has yet to do anything epic really...

Sonic and storm finally gave me a moon and just for the he'll of it I did that combo again and got another 48 hour lol

Huh well I'm surprised as I thought both sun and moon dragons were composed out of lightning and ice... Good to know there are in fact other combo's possible.

Small question, about the Every last one achievement...
I started playing after halloween, so I missed out on the bone dragon. Is it impossible for me to finish that achievement now?

I believe you can finish every last one. It's a possibility anyways if you did get a reindeer. I got mine when I hatched my first reindeer and I did not have my moon yet. I guess it will depend on how they programmed the game. If it's done by a numbers basis I believe you can get it which I think is how it was done since mine and other's came early. I do believe we were all missing 1 dragon after that last update when we got the achievement. :thumbs:

Your not doing anything wrong. That is how this game goes. I was sooooo frustrated just like you are. It seemed like I would never get anything good. Sandstorm is really hard to get along with all the other rares. If you look back at my posts in the last few days I put up a bunch of combos that are proven to work. What I did was start writing down what combo you are using and set a goal of how many times you will try that combo. I set mine to 20 times each. Sometimes with the longer breeding times it seems like you tried a million times when in reality it was only x amount of times. At least that's how it was for me. Also switch up the combo's order of left and right side after awhile. Sometimes this seems to be the ticket. I also think that some combos work for some players and some do not...or maybe a combo is hot at the moment and producing rares and then the next day it is not. Don't give up, you will get them...I promise! :thumbs: It can be frustrating for sure as we all know but you will get there. Being persistant is key I think.

That achievement is glitched. I didn't get it until after hatching my 6th rainbow. Same with double rainbow achievement. My wife got both achievements while only having one rainbow and still missing sandstorm, and moon. So you might get it without bone.

Have you tried switching up your dragons? When I got my first moon, I switched from Crystal/Bluefire to Bluefire/Crystal. I did it on a whim and got a 48hr. Got so exited that I bought gems to see what it was and thought it was well worth it when I saw my moon. Lol.

As for the epic breeding island. I've actually gotten about the same amount of rares from each island after the update. Either way, it's sure to increase your odds of getting a rare since you're breeding dragons twice as fast compared to just having one breeding cave. That's how I see it anyway.

I think I've tried every trick in the book...nothing results in a sun. Maybe in the new year?

I didn't either, but go a couple pages back and you'll see that I was proven wrong about a combo resulting in something that had neither elements required. It has less than a 1% chance of happening, but it does happen.

I think it has to do with one of the dragons already having a plant as a "parent". It happened to me once. I bred a scorch from willow and snow. My willow was like a 3rd or 4th gen, so I think that's why.

I finally was able to breed a sun and then got another one right after that. Geesch. Now I still need a rainbow and moon. I got more reindeer then I will ever need and all kinds of other 'rares' but not what I need. I will keep on trudging. I have almost reached my goal of 50 for most of my shrines.

Finally got my epic breeding island couldn't resist buying an app voucher when out shopping today lol let's hope now I can get a sun and moon and sandstorm now that I've doubled the chances need to catch up x
