Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

I have not read the whole board. Is there a link or a write up on what dragons and what boost works the best for making money. For instance I know that the Cold with Frostfire or Bluefire brings in quite a bit of coin but is their actually a list? I'm sure someone has done it I can't find it.

Thanks

The breeding list has been compiled, but I don't think the same has been done for optimum production. There are a number of factors you will want to examine if you are interested in building production - and you almost have to to gain the higher levels. Here's a short list. I'm sure others will add to it.

1. Focus on the habitat(s) with the highest limit.
The Rares are first in this regard. Moon & Sun have a limit of $750,00 gold coins and the Rainbow limit is $1M. But they are modest producers compared to some (more later). The highest limit for a regular habitat is $75,000 for the Earth.

2. Focus on the dragons with the highest production.
Moon & Sun produce at the rate of $260/minute, while Rainbow produces $400. While this at first appears high, it pales in comparison the optimum habitat/dragon production, which is three level 15 Panlong dragons in an Earth habitat, yields $1,233 an hour.

3. Build the combination of habitats that fits your schedule.
While it would be optimal to have all Earths with three fully boosted Panlongs in them, they reach their limit in about one hour, so if you fail to sweep for coins frequently they reach their limit and stop producing. While the Rainbow "only" produces 400 coins a minute, it's $1M gives you plenty of time to pick up the coins - it takes about a day for them to fill up.

4. Breed Airs & Sandstorms on a one or two hour cycle.
This is the fastest, most cost effective way to generate gold coins. As they each are 2/2 dragons and sell for $500,000 each, you can generate $2M an hour for ten gems per one hour cycle, or $1M an hour for no gems on a two hour cycle.

Those are some basics. As I say, I'm sure others can add to it.

Good luck!

Thanks,

I have a few frost fire in the Cold habitat with cold boost. I have quakes in my earth habitat with earth and lighting boost. I have one moon and I am trying for more rares and more frost and blue fires. Thanks for the air and sandstorm this will help to boost cash.

Thanks

The second best producing habitat combo is a fully optimized Cold habitat filled with three Frostfires and/or Bluefires. But again, they reach the limit in about an hour, so you have to sweep frequently to derive all of the benefit.

My initial response, which I deleted, was to say "Go away." But that's not in the spirit of this fine group. You never know in life when you're presented with an opportunity to do a little good. This doesn't have anything to do with dragons, but let me tell you a little story that just happened to my wife.

She attended a Valentine party the other day and while parking brushed against another car with hers. She didn't want to make a big announcement so she watched out the window until the woman went to her car. When my wife got there the woman was weeping inconsolably and being comforted by a friend. My wife thought she was upset at what my wife thought was very minimal damage. Which was not the case.

She was upset because her husband of over 50 years had recently died and this was her first Valentines Day without him. My wife, an unbelievably empathetic and nurturing woman, helped to console her. That evening she called her and listened to many more tears, then sent her flowers after hanging up.

My wife's reaction?

She viewed it a special opportunity to extend kindness to someone in need.

How did I get so lucky? :)

You know, Pi Boy, this presents us
with an opportunity to discuss cheating, which has a tendency to be the elephant in the room in this kind and gentle community. Cheating does bother me and I'm interested in the psychological and sociological aspects of it. This is just amateur speculation, but my sense is that some of following personality types might cheat:

0 Someone with insecurity issues
A deep need to be accepted and so wants to present a facade of success. The classic poseur.

0 Someone with weak ethics or undeveloped ethics
Would probably be prone to cheat in many things: taxes, business ethics, spouses and significant others, games of all kinds, shop lifting, etc. Your basic thief.

0 Someone who is lazy
They may crave success, but are too lazy to earn and look for short cuts.

0 Braggart
Don't think I have to elaborate on this one.

Pi Boy, face challenges head on and fairly - take 'em on. It's sooo much more satisfying when you prevail. It sharpens all your resources and you feel good about yourself on a fundamental level. Something you can never achieve by cheating. You can succeed doing it the right way.
