Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

Pleasure sir.

I didn't want to multiply out all the hours because I thought that might put you off, lol. It could actually be a quarter of that time if you have the Epic Breeding Island because you can have 2 going at once AND they can be breeding at the same time as others are incubating. But yes, it's a game for the long haul. Best of luck, sir.

Of course I didn't think about that, yep I have an EBI, couldn't survive without one!
It doesn't seem so bad now I guess
And dont call me sir, im a ma'am! :D
Cheers again!

Nicole!

You guys are right - my gems are coming in later and later every day. I originally started after dinner and now it's 10:00pm here and no gems yet. Pretty soon it will past my bedtime and I will have to go to the next morning, which means I will have lost a whole day. It would be great if they just reset once a day at the same day.

On a similar theme. I wish they would keep the friends in the same order. Perhaps alphabetical. It's really hard to collect the hats if you try at a regular time because with the order switching and the only being able to collect once in 24 hours you have to start later each day if you want to try to visit everyone. I have just over 30 friends and it takes 45-60 minutes to get round them, mainly due to the load up time on my iPhone, but it means I have to start that much later every day so I can go through them without finding some haven't loaded yet.
This means every few days I miss a day to get them back to early morning not late at night.

That is incredibly creative and sounds like fun. The idea of the screenshot is genius, it pretty much prevents all cheating since we can go back and compare the numbers.

It sounds good fun but def won't help with the sleep deprivation. We'll all be awake half the night waiting to pounce so we can post the piccy especially since we are in different parts of the world. Lol

We will have the "How to" posted in the OP of the new thread, and I would suggest having all competitors post one before hand so they know how to do it. Just above this box where I'm typing this there's a picture of a tree. Clicking on there gives you the options for posting a pic in a post, including uploading it from your computer/ipad/iphone. Taking a screen grab is a matter of pressing the Home Button and the Power Button at the same time.

On iPhone at top of page there's a + sign. If you click on it you get extras which allow you to post a picture.

Okay spent more than I thought ig I thought I only had 5,000 gems and apparently I have.way more than I thought so I must of spent more money out of my account than I thought. Got to carried away one morning while doing this.ig. But ive been asked.if. My device is.jailbroken and no its.not. Bc all my apps are basocally free if.u look on my gc and if not there mayne a dollar or two. Plus if.it was.jailbroken I wouldnt owe $30 which is stopping me from updating.any app or downloading any app I want

Hey skaterboy

I have been following your progress on DV like all us regulars, and must say it is quite amazing!
Either you are the biggest spender of money on nothing or you are having a little unauthorized assistance.
If you are the former you have spent, converted from my currency, approx. 1300 USD on gems only, while you, as you explaine yourself, got carried away!!
If this is true, I feel sorry for you. Stop now and go to school.

I am sorry for the tone in my post, this is the cossiest thread on the whole web, but if something looks to good to be true, it mostly is.

I hope you dont take it personally when I dont give you any more gems. It seems you have more than you can handle.

So I was thinking this morning about a competition we could play, winner gets a Gem from everyone that participates. Or maybe we have a couple of prizes, if we have enough people want to play, split 70/30 for fastest 2 or 50/30/20 for fastest 3. Basically I was thinking we agree on a starting time, then at that point someone randomly draws a hybrid dragon (the person drawing cannot be in the comp), and the first person to breed one wins. Proof is supplied by posting a screen shot of the breeding cave/island with the time remaining. That way no-one has to spend any gems, and the comp can be won by anyone.

We would need to eliminate dragons with one element, hybrids that only have 1 possible outcome and dragon hybrids that have the same incubation time as each other. So Plant and Moss are okay, but Scorch and Firefly are not. My thoughts on eligible dragons are:

[*]Poison
[*]Flower
[*]Moss
[*]Tree
[*]Quake
[*]Crystal
[*]Swamp
[*]Seaweed
[*]Love (for the moment)
[*]Panlong

Some of these comps would be over very quickly, while some might go on for hours/days.

Anyway, anyone interested in doing something like this?

That sounds like fun! It would distract us all from manically trying to up our shrines or breeding the ones we still have missing!

I finally have my EBI - thanx everyone that sent me gems! Although I had a bit of a panic attack 2 days ago when I went on DV to find that my gem count had dropped from 123 to 117!!!! (my 5 yr old son had decided to speed up an egg for me!!) Anyway, finally made the 125 gems with everybody's help. Now I'll save up for the gem tree xx

Short Update....

Well, the back is healing wonderfully. I can walk normally now and I'm walking 2 miles a day. Before the surgery I was able to walk 2-3 blocks, painfully and hunched over. Now I stand erect and I'm 3/4" taller.

So I'm starting my re-entry into the Real World. I have a staff meeting in the office today. Hospital bed is moving out. I will probably participate less (I thought I heard a collective sigh of relief!), but I'll be around.

With all sincerity this group has been a life support system for me during this period that has had its share of difficulty and challenges. I wrapped myself in a cocoon and excluded just about everything else (I tend to be a bit autistic when faced with this kind of challenge). As I posted several weeks ago, this is the nicest, kindest online community that I've ever been part of. I love you guys.

Poppy

Thanks Poppy, we love you too. Glad to hear your coming back to normal, we are all sending you luck and good wishes xx

Of course, I'm such an idiot, thanks Hazel!! (it's too early in the morning to turn my brain on!)

Nic xx

Never an idiot, there are plenty of us who don't switch on before 900am and it's taken some weird post we've put up to make us realize LMAO
