You guys are right - my gems are coming in later and later every day. I originally started after dinner and now it's 10:00pm here and no gems yet. Pretty soon it will past my bedtime and I will have to go to the next morning, which means I will have lost a whole day. It would be great if they just reset once a day at the same day.

I sent out my last gem early morning today around 7 am and at 4 pm this afternoon my gem tree reloaded. No problem if you don't get your gems sent before you go to bed. When you wake up at 2 am to collect coins, just sent it out then

So I was thinking this morning about a competition we could play, winner gets a Gem from everyone that participates. Or maybe we have a couple of prizes, if we have enough people want to play, split 70/30 for fastest 2 or 50/30/20 for fastest 3. Basically I was thinking we agree on a starting time, then at that point someone randomly draws a hybrid dragon (the person drawing cannot be in the comp), and the first person to breed one wins. Proof is supplied by posting a screen shot of the breeding cave/island with the time remaining. That way no-one has to spend any gems, and the comp can be won by anyone.

We would need to eliminate dragons with one element, hybrids that only have 1 possible outcome and dragon hybrids that have the same incubation time as each other. So Plant and Moss are okay, but Scorch and Firefly are not. My thoughts on eligible dragons are:

• Poison
• Flower
• Moss
• Tree
• Quake
• Crystal
• Swamp
• Seaweed
• Love (for the moment)
• Panlong

Some of these comps would be over very quickly, while some might go on for hours/days.

Anyway, anyone interested in doing something like this?

That is incredibly creative and sounds like fun. The idea of the screenshot is genius, it pretty much prevents all cheating since we can go back and compare the numbers.

Great idea, Fletch. But wouldn't those of us fortunate to have two of every dragon have an unfair advantage? I think we would need to DQ ourselves.

This is what I tell my son. . .i rather have a hard C grade than an easy A grade. If you tell me that you did your absolute best and study REALLY hard for that C than we should be proud. . .as to that A grade that you did not have to study for or even open the book. I take that hard C anytime.

Perhaps a picci of the combo in the breeding cave aswell? To prove its not 2 of the same?

Very good point. You wouldn't have to disqualify yourself, you just have to not use those dragons. Easily checked after the winning pics are posted (assuming you can't see the dragons in the pic itself) as we can visit the island to verify what's in the breeding cave/island.

Yes this, but we can just visit. 2 amendments to the rules. You must make the hybrid by using base pairs rather than mother & father of the same type AND all those in the competition must be friends of the others.

EDIT: Visiting the winners islands for verification would be necessary anyway, to ensure that they are not using an old screen capture of a previous breeding. We would need to compare coin/gem/food numbers from the picture to the actuality to make sure it is current.

More island, habitats, decorations would be nice.maybe be able to uograde hatchery some more bc ik for some of us 4 isnt enough anymore. When ur breeding rares and there.sitting in ur hatchery then u get shorter breeds then it just keeps filling up.

Upgraded hatchery would definitely be a bonus. Perhaps a plant habitat upgrade as well?

We will have the "How to" posted in the OP of the new thread, and I would suggest having all competitors post one before hand so they know how to do it. Just above this box where I'm typing this there's a picture of a tree. Clicking on there gives you the options for posting a pic in a post, including uploading it from your computer/ipad/iphone. Taking a screen grab is a matter of pressing the Home Button and the Power Button at the same time.

Thanks hun! I feel just a bit better but still fever and stuffy nose etc. It's season in Florida so unfortunately all the northerners come here to escape the cold weather and we get hit with everything. I managed to go to the store today and will try to do some laundry tomorrow...little by little nd one day at a time.

I love Florida! Visited Disney world and knotts berry farm when I was young. I like the weather there.. It's humid and yet dry..

I was thinkng about that...what if the next step is platinum statues and it's like going from silver to gold from gold to platinum? You would need so much that I would be breeding for extra cash if it was me.
