Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

Hello Everyone! I've been lurking around here for the last several weeks and decided it was about time I introduced myself! I am hopelessly addicted to DV so it's nice to have someplace to chat about it with people who can totally relate! I have learned so much from everyone's posts... all the breeding tips, Poppy's gold coin factory (haha), decorating tips, etc.. thank you all for your insightful posts! I'm afraid I've been lurking for so long that I feel that I've gotten to know most of you so you'll have to excuse me if I just jump right in. I've also already sent friend requests to many of you so if you've wondered who that was... lol.. now you know! LOL! And if I missed sending you a request, feel free to send me one. I don't have a gem tree yet but I return every gem that I receive.

I'm on level 23 right now and after many, many weeks of trying, I finally got my Moon!!!! I now have at least one of every dragon! I got my Moon with Love and Cold and when they finished breeding, I stuck them back in and got another 48 hour dragon, that I was just sure was going to be another Moon! It wasn't, it was a Sun (my 3rd sun)... it's currently incubating now. Stuck Love and Cold back in the cave and got a 12 hour.... turned out to be another Frostfire which is also incubating now. Soooooo, lol... stuck the same pair back in and got another 48 hour.... so we'll have to wait and see what it turns out to be. Anyone else have that kind of luck with this combo?

How r u getting them so freaken quick... I am lucky to get one dragon a day to lv15 and I am working with 9 pans.... (pounding my desk right now)

Uk this $50million is hard to gain I have $33million im trying to get about $10million a day so I got $7million more to go before I can sleep today then that will mean tomorrow or maybe thursday I should have the $50million yo buy that island. But on the other end I have less than 24hrs to figure out what my 48hr breed is

Thanks Vicky! It took me forever to get my first moon and that one is my favorite dragon so it was worth the wait! Now I want another and am hoping my current 48 hour breeding will turn out to be a Moon too!

The breakdown for that $4.5M hour looks something like this (figures are close, but not exact):

- 8 Earth habitats with 3 Pans each: $600,000
- Breed & sold 2 Airs & 2 Sandstorms: $2,000,000
- 4 Cold habitats with 3 Frostfires/Bluefires each: $200,000
- 6 Rainbows: $144,000
- 1 Moon: $15,000
- 1 Sun: $15,000
- Nursery Island: $75,000 (est)
- Party hats: $1,500,000 (these are great!)

Total: $4,550,000

That was party hats from about half of my friends, so that could happen one more time a day. The breeding proceeds depend on how conservative or aggressive you are. I usually buy $4.99 in gems a day, 130, and stay on a one hour cycle until they're gone. Each one hour cycle costs 10 gems so I can go at least 13 cycles a day, usually one or two more with the generous gifts I receive (Thank You!).

Now that I've decided to spaz down, I'm going to $1.99 a day for 50 gems.

Fletch.... love the catcus maze!! I followed a few wizards around just to see if you were right about them and dead ends.

Phibest....love your checkered coloseum island and how you left some of the original shrubs and rocks on your pan island.

Birdmaestro...i love how clean your islands look. nothing beats the nursery.

I thought that they were working so hard making coins that they needed the extra oxygen....lol

Well you were asking how it got there and I was posting his response that he was earning 4.5 million coins an hour.

The ... was because the forum wouldn't let me post just his reply. I had to type at least 3 characters, and I though full stops would be the least intrusive.

I got mine from lv10 blaze lv4 mud....

Well, I made it - I got my Lightening gold shrine, which makes six out of seven. For some reason I feel like I've summited, even though I don't have the Plant gold (at 26/50). I guess at this point I feel that it's inevitable anyway.

I've even transformed the Chinese Gold Coin Factory from a sweat shop to a more civilized environment. I've reduced the number of Earth habitats filled with Pans from eight to five. That enabled me to put a Moon back on the Cold Island, among other things.

BTW, before I cut back production, I had my highest gold coin hour ever - $4.5M in one hour. Just from the habitats and the one hour Air/Sandstorm breeding. You can really pump up the volume if you want to.

So, ol' Poppy is on cruise control.
