Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

So in the past 2 weeks I have hatched my rainbow, bluefire and sandstorm dragons and I've got my first sun and frostfire dragons in my hatchery!! All I need mow is a moon and I've got one of everything (except bone)!! Yay!!

I want to start with how much i love your letters! They really make your islands unique. And you've incorporated them seamlessly!

Your 'S' island has that natural feel to it, with all the trees, ponds and especially the air and water habitats. And the yellow trees are a standout amongst the blues and greens.

The 'N' island looks more like a farming community All the farms and with the villas really set the tone. The air trees look like a plantation and with the pagoda in the middle it looks awesome!

Love thr placement of your shrines in front of the colosseum! Its a shame the earth shrine is too big to fit in front too. I like the 'A', but can the corners be rounded? I think it would give a more natural look. Just a suggestion though And i love that you kept a plant habitat!

I love the contrast of the red lantern 'L' against the blue of the cold habitats. And so many blue fires! These must make you a pretty penny. I love that you kept the rocks too

I like how your 'F' is surrounded by your rares and you have the panlongs here too. Money island i see And do i see a sneaky cactus 'A' I think it would stand out more if it was made from red paper lanterns. Would look cool!

I think you've done an amazing job with the lettering and so close to your last island! Keep at it!! Xoxo

I have finally bought the last island, which leaves me broke lol, now re shuffling in order to optimize cash and getting rid of obstacles. And of course i have to rethink two of the islands ... Phew

Wow, I just reached level 30 and immediately bought my last island. 100,000,000 gold coins went POOF. What a sickening feeling that is!

On a positive note, I finally got my second sun, so I was able to buy the habitat for it. The egg will be ready tomorrow

I feel like I finally completed everything I wanted to complete. The gold shrines will come when they come...gold production is in full swing

And the rainbow dragon is so big! I think its because it never lands. Its always flying so it didnt need to be big. But you're right, there could more too it

Hello Everyone! I've been lurking around here for the last several weeks and decided it was about time I introduced myself! I am hopelessly addicted to DV so it's nice to have someplace to chat about it with people who can totally relate! I have learned so much from everyone's posts... all the breeding tips, Poppy's gold coin factory (haha), decorating tips, etc.. thank you all for your insightful posts! I'm afraid I've been lurking for so long that I feel that I've gotten to know most of you so you'll have to excuse me if I just jump right in. I've also already sent friend requests to many of you so if you've wondered who that was... lol.. now you know! LOL! And if I missed sending you a request, feel free to send me one. I don't have a gem tree yet but I return every gem that I receive.

I'm on level 23 right now and after many, many weeks of trying, I finally got my Moon!!!! I now have at least one of every dragon! I got my Moon with Love and Cold and when they finished breeding, I stuck them back in and got another 48 hour dragon, that I was just sure was going to be another Moon! It wasn't, it was a Sun (my 3rd sun)... it's currently incubating now. Stuck Love and Cold back in the cave and got a 12 hour.... turned out to be another Frostfire which is also incubating now. Soooooo, lol... stuck the same pair back in and got another 48 hour.... so we'll have to wait and see what it turns out to be. Anyone else have that kind of luck with this combo?

hmmmm good question. The only things left to do for me are
1. get a 2nd Rainbow dragon
2. get all my silver shrines to gold shrines.

I have recently gone through a major renovation for my islands. I'm pretty satisfied with them.
I have
coloseum island
cold "TIC-TAC-TOE" island
air/water/fire island
and island dedicated to my fiance (who isnt a big fan of DV) with the initials "I L" written on the island.

Seems like you have everything you could ever want here....what are you doing now?

Well, I made it - I got my Lightening gold shrine, which makes six out of seven. For some reason I feel like I've summited, even though I don't have the Plant gold (at 26/50). I guess at this point I feel that it's inevitable anyway.

I've even transformed the Chinese Gold Coin Factory from a sweat shop to a more civilized environment. I've reduced the number of Earth habitats filled with Pans from eight to five. That enabled me to put a Moon back on the Cold Island, among other things.

BTW, before I cut back production, I had my highest gold coin hour ever - $4.5M in one hour. Just from the habitats and the one hour Air/Sandstorm breeding. You can really pump up the volume if you want to.

So, ol' Poppy is on cruise control.

Oh, I forgot - I also picked party hats that hour. At $9K a pop it really adds up. I wish I had the patience to go through my entire lst of friends. And thanks again (!) for all the gems.

How r u getting them so freaken quick... I am lucky to get one dragon a day to lv15 and I am working with 9 pans.... (pounding my desk right now)
