Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

Perhaps this topic should be via pm?

Sorry - not trying to hijack the thread. Gonna reply to Mr. Smurf, then let it be.

I don't mean to intrude on this, but did I read correctly that you adopted out a daughter that you had with your current wife when you were both in school? I think it's pretty awesome that you were together enough at the time to set things up as you have. I am intrigued that you both waited 18 years or so before having another.

Not that it's any of my business, of course, if you don't wish to talk about it.

It's not that we "had it together", it's that we both have pragmatic streaks running through us (her more than I), and we knew we were too young and selfish and poor to raise a child well. I no longer agree that money/opportunities are more important than being raised by your own parents, but it was the choice we made and we've all lived with it. So grateful for her health and education and so forth. Really really hoping and praying to meet her some day soonish.

And, yes, it's rare for my wife and I to still be together. We didn't get married until almost ten years later, though we stayed together the whole time. Normally these things tear people apart, but our marriage today is lightyears better than our relationship has ever been, and it's only getting better, a miracle I attribute wholesale to God. We're nervous about being parents, especially in this economy, but we know it's the right time this time.

Lots more to the story, of course, but I'll let it alone there, this being a Dragonvale Tips & Tricks thread! Sorry, everyone! Thanks for all the congrats.

:D yep! I decided to work on the golds etc slowly I think. I have had enough doing nothing but working on one thing. Those fogs are getting to me! Lol. Seems like just when I get the new dragons they release, and start back on something they release something else so I'm never getting much accomplished. That's what I think ....one day. I just wish our habitats would hold more dragons/cash or they would give us more habitats.

I just think that this can be a very hard thing for someone to share and she did not want to make you feel uncomfortable...

Done some re-working, now that my fourth island came in. I moved my plant and water habs and re-worked my Path In the Woods Island. Kept some of the native trees and rocks there, so I like to look and feel better. Also, you might see my Love Dragon keeping an eye on my eggs.

Instead of moving my cold habs to their own island (which I have to do for island five when I get there, cuz they just don't work where they are), I put my air and sun there, then set it up like the Forbidden City. This is because I have my first Panlong in my hatchery. I looked at a bunch of pictures and maps of the Forbidden City online. Not totally thrilled with the result, but you do have the moat (grass moat outside the fortress walls made from trees and eggs), the Hall of Ancestors on the right of the main path, the buildings and prayer house on the left of the main path. You have the three gates into the main section of the city, behind the wall (three paths going through the "wall"), couple of the buildings, the large paved sections, etc. I'm going to put my Panlong in the centrally-located air habitat when he's hatched. I dunno, not 100% thrilled with it, but we'll see how it works out. I wish there were castle wall decorations and stuff.

I hate to pop your bubble, terrible two is nothing, compare to terrible pre-teen. There's more attitude and lip. When they are two at least they are still lovable and cute.

Lmao! I have to so agree! In my case I would even rather have my teen back then deal with my 24 yr old daughter! :D. It seems sometimes they just get worse! Lol. My daughter and I are very, very close but sometimes.....

My daughter is at the stage that if u leave something at the edge of table is gone... And as soon as we go out somewhere I have to b ready for a tantrum. I feel that is my fault since we do t go out much and when we do she doesn't want to leave. But its just amazing to see how she starts forming sentences :-)

Yay congrats it been a long time coming that one lol x

Too long! Lol. I can't remember if I even tried for it again after the first one. Didn't really like them or their low coins. I remember I was going to get rid of it after I got the "all dragons" through GC. Goes to show how plans change! Lmao

We just got to remember they're phrases. I just remember when my son was 13 it was just a push and pull relationship. One minute he wanted my help and the next minute he wanted control. It comes and goes. Now he is a senior, sent out his apps and less than a year he will be away at college. It just seem like yesterday I left for the hospital. This is keeping me preoccupied as I will have an empty nest soon. Maybe too preoccupied. . .

That's my biggest fear, main reason why I don't look to ahead. :-s everything will be fine you'll see. College is an amazing way for children to appreciate parents ;-) that's what happen with me.
