Welcome back and congratulations on both of you panlong. I sadly have not achieved mine yet so if I may ask a quick question, the second time you put the blazing and mud back in, the mud was level 4 and the blazing was level 10, correct?

Yes, my second pair (STILL) successfully breeding a Panlong were Blazing (level 10) x Mud (level 4). I had been trying the opposite order with this pair because I figured putting the Mud first might go a little way to offset the level difference (again, am leaving the Mud at level 4 as I have heard it may help me breed a Sandstorm later) but then I swapped to Blazing x Mud and got it. Another 'proven' case of the order swap making a difference methinks

Oh my gosh, this game makes me crazy. I don't have a sun, moon or panlong and I'm going a bit crazy watching everyone getting them! Of course I love the fact people are getting them so much cause that means I have to eventually get them too...right?? Congrats to everyone and their success the past day. I'm just jealous!

Thanks! I have been playing for two weeks and got my first two rares today so I am sure those dragons will eventually rear their heads your way. Hope you get what you want!

I would have to say yes I think panlong will be around for a short period of time like reindeer , hopefully BFS will leave him around for a while but I don't think so , so I think if anyone doesn't have a panlong dragon yet they probably have about a month more seeing as the specials don't last that long (like 2 months total time there're around I believe). Breed on!!!!

My guess and hope is that Panlong will be available for a whole year. The whole year of the dragon. It says something to that effect in the description and I think that would make the most sense. He is too special to be around for only a month. Think about it, the next Halloween is only 9 months away, so they could bring bone back in 8. The next year of the dragon is in 12 years...who will still be playing DV?

That doesn't mean I'm not trying to get my second one ASAP just to be safe.

Of course you could be right Brooklyn but I kind of hope you aren't, hehe. I've already got two Panlongs so it's not that I need them to be around longer but it would be a real shame if lots of people miss out because they are only available for such a short time and truly only around once every 12 years!!! ( yikes!)

I guess I tend to side towards ilUli's way of thinking (hoping! hehe)

Also, the description's for both Reindeer and Bone specifically mention only being available at that time of year and for a short time -
"These hybrid dragons come from the Far North and can only be bred near the end of the year. Centuries ago, the magical toymaker Sandakloz journeyed north to study these rare creatures. He never returned from his journey, but every year since, during the month when reindeers dragons can be bred, children wake up one day to find magical toys in boxes bearing the old mage's signature."

"Bone dragons can only be found for a couple weeks during the year. The rest of the year it is believed that they burrow underground near cemeteries to be around other bones. but I bet if you breed one and put it in a habitat with other bones, it would stick around. Or perhaps near a heat source to keep away the bone-chilling winter cold?"

BUT the Panlong's only really mentions the Year of the Dragon/once every 12 years stuff:
"The majestic panlong dragon originates from the Far East and it's said to only come out of hiding once every twelve years. Though it prefers to be near water, they have occassionally been seen in many other types of habitats. Rumor has it that these dragons are not only a distant cousin of the rainbow dragon, but they're almost as rare too! I wonder if it's a coincidence that they only seem to show up during the year of the dragon."

I don't know if I'd say it will be available for the whole rest of the year but I'm thinking at least for a while longer yet...
Ah well, I guess we will find out soon enough *pause* errrmm, probably, hehe.

Chin up after three days of constant mud and blazing mainly in that order I've finally got my 36 hour hatching started. Had all sorts of different eggs from it including two lava :-( even tried fog and lava in other hatchery.
Still trying for frost fire moon and rainbow though!

Awww thank you my friend! heh, I can understand the envy though...I envied your rares, ESPECIALLY all the Moons, for a LONG time before I got most of mine. Actually I still envy all your accidental rares, heh. I have only ever got a rare when TRYING HARD for one.

Haha, I admit I did speed up the last couple of hours of my first Panlong breeding (so now it's in the hatchery looking pretty ) but it was only 3 gems, not like the 20 I almost used, so I'm reasonably happy with that, hehe.

I got my rainbow from mud and blazing. Breed time said 36 hours so I thought it was a panlong but I was wrong. I have a 48 hour with crystal and ice but not sure what that is yet. Sun and moon I heard crystal and ice. But there are different combos (I just dont know many off hand). Rainbows are random. Frostfire and sandstorm I haven't gotten myself so not much help there. But blue fire is fire and cold

Good spot, I've got gold for my last 6 colosseum runs. Just put lightning and earth in to get a quake and have got a 36hr. Is that how long a quake should take or am I getting something else?
Normal breeding cave btw. Haven't got the breeding island yet .

But had mud and blazing in my ebi, had 36 hour... For certain it was a panlong.... Wrong. I got rainbow. Sent the two back in the cave, got 6 hours...

Okay so MrLuke seems to have gotten a Panlong from a Lightning x Earth and TheDevilsFootprints has apparently gotten a Rainbow from a 36 hour breed?!!?!!!
WHAT is going on???? That is REALLY REALLY REALLY weird.

I mean, MrLuke, the Panlong is supposed to be made up of Water, Earth, Fire and Air...and, of those, that breeding combo only had Earth in the mix!

Are you, TheDevilsFootprints absolutely certain you didn't just miss the first (12!) hours of the breed time?? I know, I know, it seems very unlikely you could have but I just can't wrap my head around how else it could have happened!

Methinks there are some big glitches in DragonVale right now...but thankfully these are NICE glitches to have, hehe.
