My Plant-related dragons are on level 10-15.
My Fire-related are 40 right now on Lev 10.
My Air 22 on Lev 10 + 2 Level 15
My earth 26 + 2 level 15
My Lightning 26 + 2 lev 15
My Metal 23 + 1 Lev 15
My Cold 23
My Water 17

What strategy should I use when I buy a new habitat? A lot of you have much more experience and it would be nice to get some advice – Thank you!

Just put level 12 ghost and level 15 sandstorm in epic and got it - yay!

Your two habitats that earn the least are your plant and lightning (although I can't see lightning listed). Depending on your hibernation cave and how many dragons you can put in, if you have room I put your plant dragons in there when you are ready and trade your plant habitat for a higher earning habitat - that would be a good start. The large plant habitat only holds 500 coins - not much in $ value.

I must have forgotten my only Lightning habitat. Made a correction.
My Hibernationcave contains 50 dragons. Almost full with many fine species.
Hm ... I have to kill some ....
Must think ..... Have already got rid of two Planthabitats .... And outplaced the dear ones ..

If I do nothing with what I have and only buy a new habitat - what do you suggest?

Have a look at what dragons you already have in you hibernation cave and then make your decision. It is very difficult if you are working towards your shrines as you need 50 of each elements. So, for example, I would recommend rather than level a plant dragon to level ten, maybe choose a plant dragon that has two elements in it. If you level a poison dragon to level 10 it will count toward 1 more dragon for your plant shrine as well as 1more dragon for your fire shrine. That means you spend less money on food treats and you get closer to your shrine count.

If you are going to spend gems, try not to use them to speed up any breeding. Instead, save them for upgrading your hibernation cave. Just remember for every level 10 dragon you sell off now, you may need to breed one again, only to find you need to feed it back to level 10. You will find the hibernation cave is a key element in the game. you are going to need all the space you can get to store your dragons.

When possible, get two of every dragon because you never know when you will need them for breeding.

Also, dragons that can be easily purchased from the market at any time - single element dragons like plant, fire, lightning etc don't collect too many of them because you can always buy them for little $ when you need them quickly. Hope that helps.

All your game data is backup from gamecenter and BFS server, so it is safe to delete and reinstall your DV

After you delete your DV, sign out first from GameCenter then sign back in before reinstall your DV.
