No, thats not right about uncommon breeding. Uncommon hybrid will not appear in 2-element breeding, except 2 basic element. Your example contains 3 elements.

You are right about metal+pollen and metal+willow, that will give the shortest fail for malachite.

Yes you can get that with that combo or other hybrid combo.

Except:
Scoria/Iron+Fire/Earth
Copper/Magnetic+Lighting/Metal

Just remember you wont get the uncommon hybrid when you breed it with one of its element

You and me both, at least you have a little bit of an understanding. I am completely lost. The sandbox gives me the different outcomes of the dragons I breed together, but I would also love to know what the percentages are, that would be a huge help!

Flower+Metal will give you long fail time, but that is good if you are also targeting for Gold Dragon.

So, I've just started playing DV (am getting bored of Hay Day now) and wondered if there was a newbie guide anywhere? I currently have 6 red gems and seem to need 25 to purchase the next dragon and progress with the game. How do you get lots of gems, other than with real money? Many thanks.
