Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

I have a friend starting to play dragonvale, he is at level 10. I show as his friend in GC but he cannot see me in the friends list in dragonvale. At first I thought he had to be level 7, but no...So I thought for sure level 10 would do it! Anybody have any ideas why he can't see any friends??

By the way I can see him (I am level 26 - and still learning).

You can have friends at any level :) this happens sometimes, just tel your friend to restart his iPhone/iPad and it should work

Good point, but I wonder if the same works with a level 4. For example level 10 earth with a level 4 chrome etc. I know with Panlong I was only able to get it with a level 4 mud and level 10 blaze. Just a thought.

Certainly worth a try. Sadly as I'm L30, all my dragons are L10 and over. But theres no reason why a higher Earth than Chrome won't work at whatever levels you can use.

Ive been told that level doesnt matter. That the chances of getting a particular dragon doesnt increase or decrease depending on their level.

I know the "official" line is that levels don't matter, but a few times now people have found that the odds are increased when changing the levels of one or other dragon.
We were given a hint on the Clover dragon that L7 was needed.

All I'm saying is I tried with equal level dragons for over a week and got nowhere, then upped the Earth over the Air combo and have got 2 Dodos in 3 attempts.

I think change is the key, I've moved the boost from breeding island - and success. And I dont think it's because the presents of the boosts, because I have got dragons I want when I have put it back, but the change seems to pull some dragon-ropes!

Hey Brooklyn, good you are back!

Thats what i thought :)

I heard that too. I just know from personal experience that I only got my Pans with a level 4 mud. My friend just recently could not get a Bloom and I suggested to use one of the dragons a level 4 and first try got one. Also, initially people said the time of day did not make a difference in sun/moon. I believed it did and now it is a fact. Breeding during 7am-7pm will be a sun as 7 pm-7am is a moon. No harm in trying. Good luck.

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to let everyone know what combo worked for me to get the rainbow dragon. It might have just been luck but breeding the flower dragon and the crystal dragon gave me a rainbow.

Good luck to everyone,
!-=oz-=!

Congrats on getting one!

Congrats on getting that silly blue earth dragon call DoDo! :). It's a number game and you won't know until you throw the dice.

But, if you save them, you can use them for gold shrines, and then you don't have to take the time and food again. Get a cave and put them there instead. It's better to sell eggs to get money, than lv 10 dragons.

Good advise, especially now we have metal dragons that sell high. I breed Mags, Iron and now Rust to get high DC. Just got my first Gold shrine. Yay!

BFS changed the moon and sun rule a while back. I honestly think its changing things up that makes the difference. A friend of mine has a test account and he has done extensive testing with levels of dragons and the percentage of success. According to his trials it doesnt make a difference. You are right, no harm in trying, but its not proven to always work. The percentage of success is always higher in the EBi though. Good luck to all :)

I agree with you on this one. I've gotten all my moons and suns during random times of the day. When I change up my breeding pairs or take a breather for a bit, once I start to try again it seems to do the trick. With that said that trick doesn't always work.

Exactly, again it has been a proven fact from hardcore players the time of breeding moon and sun does make a difference, as breeding in the epic breeding island increase success percentage on some dragons. There is no guarantee, but that makes this virtual game fun. . .give the dice a kiss and throw it. :)

But I can honestly say that my moons and suns where produced in the "wrong" time. But, it could be that I'm Swedish, and we like to take it our own ways.. :)

Mine were produced in the off times as well, I should say some of them were. I don't think there is a true rhythm or reason to this game. If there is then on BFS knows what it is!
