It's not looking good for me. I am down a couple hundred gems, another moon richer and still nothing. I have tried love/cold, love/storm, flower/storm, love/water and probably more...ugh. They must have put a stop on my account because I also emailed them earlier asking if it was possible to get a 2nd one but they never got back to me. Haha. I'm hopelessly doomed as usual. *sigh*

No, no, no!! You, of all people, should be getting a second one! You are the ultimate cheerleader for everyone here! When the rest of us were giving up, you were hanging in, breeding on for a second LYD!! Stay with it girl! My gems haven't replenished yet, but should within the hour, and I'll send one ASAP! (A symbol of solidarity )

I was going to write in and say that one LYD was going to be enough for me and I vowed, *vowed!!* not to spend any more gems on the silly pursuit of trying to get a second one. Then I read this, and just HAD to try "one more time", haha. Actually, I saw another post that said Fog and Scorch, so I threw those into the EBI, no joy. Then saw this one and said, ok, ONE more try, since the BC was open. Bluefire (11) and Crystal (10) = *success*!!!!

Well, duh. Now what am I going to DO with it?? I'll have to either store it in HC, or sweep away some other habitat to get another rainbow habitat (oh, and? I also already had to store two rainbows!)

What a wild ride THIS one has been, huh forum friends??

edited to add: Oh, and another "and": it only cost about 5 more gems, not too bad...

Congrats! On following your instinct to give it another shot. It's funny, we have these rainbow dragons (me just one more) and we have no place to put them. Would it not be great if they update the rainbow habitat to two dragons!

Ugh what does a guy have to do to get a rare in these places! I have tried every combo at least twice with no luck! Gahhhhhhhhhh! So help me LYD you will be mine in four years. Extreme rage!

Levels matter trust me. Try and use flower and storm both lvl ten I had a flower at lvl 11 and I wasnt getting any thing. I lvled up a baby flower dragon I had laying around and to lvl 10 and got a LYD. You can do it. I lost all faith to but you got to be determined! YOU CAN DO IT!

And now, on a completely different topic: It's been niggling at me ever since I got my first air, then my sandstorms, that they look to me like some kind of familiar insect, in body shape and how they flick their tails up and down, but I couldn't put my finger on it. So I finally looked up flying insects images tonight, and, tada! Mayflies!

I think I just got. I used my gems to speed up my cave and then threw in cold 15 and love 15. It says 14 and half. Cant speed up the egg so not 100 percent.

I have to thank everyone for their support that they have given me after many combos and tedious hours I have finally broken my bad luck and achived my LYD. Thank you all so much for telling me not to give up if I have I would have never gotten it.

I agree . . . it IS awesome . . . they all are! My personal favorite of your's, ilUli, is "Moon over Roses". Fabulous!! After looking at your islands I have to ask - are you a visual arts professional of some sort? I'm certainly not! But there is something very appealing and professional about your island design that makes me wonder. Either way, my hat is off to you!

I've said it before - her park takes things to another level. They're like illustrations in a high-end children's book.

Well, I decided to take your advice and try one more time... And got a 48 hour! LOL!!! I never thought I would see the day when I would be disappointed to see one of those! LOL! Oh well, I'm not wasting any more gems! Congrats to all who got one and double congrats if you got two! I'm just going to be happy with my one!

Omg, you are so sweet I guess you are right, I take more of a visual approach in my decorating than the story-telling that others do (which, by the way I love!). Still hoping for new decorations so I can do something more with my last island in particular. Funny how you can tell, but I'm a photographer. I find it really astonishing that you had picked up on that

Makes perfect sense to me now. Thank you for satisfying my curiosity! I have been taking more of a storytelling approach (without writing it down -- you don't want to see the rough draft in my brain, lol) and I love that approach too. But, you have inspired me to rethink my approach. Perhaps a combination . . . I'm sure I'll muck it up miserably, but I have more time than money it seems with all of the "rares" popping up waiting to hatch in my pursuit of the elusive LYD.

May I ask what sort of photography you do?
