I think we're being manipulated. I supposed to be doing other things but I really care about this community and I think our devotion, enthusiasm and loyalty is being used to exploit us. I could be wrong but when I feel like this in a business setting I'm always right. So I'm sounding the alarm.

I agree with you Poppy, I'm feeling like they've thought this up as a cash cow with no regard for their loyal DVites. It's like putting an open bottle of wine on the table, pouring a glass and then saying to a recovering alcoholic 'you don't have to have a taste'!

Having said that I'm proud to say I have NOT bought gems for this dragon (although just before my last attempt last night when I was down to 6 I was sorely tempted to!) I still might buy 50 just so my gem count isn't so miserable!

One good thing to come out of this is that is caused me to achieve my silver plant shrine easily!

OK, I think I have decided to side with Poppy here. Getting a second LYD seems to be impossible (I'm not saying it can't happen). Those of us who are fortunate to have 2 probably got #2 during a certain time at the beginning when it was possible, or bought one. I just don't get it

So, I'm giving up. Sort of. I will definitely not spend any more gems on speeding anything up. My EBI is out of commissioning for another 44+ hours with my 3rd 48hr breeding. I'll just keep sticking Flower and Storm in the other cave until either magic happens or, more likely, time runs out. Que sera, sera.
