That's actually a really good question, Poppy. And I think Vicky's answer is probably most people's reason too.

But here's the thing: even if you have two of a limited dragon, after it goes away, can you actually breed more of them?? Has anyone bred more loves? or bones? for instance? I don't have bone; I started the game way too late, and I haven't tried breeding loves together. So I don't know the answer to this...

So then, does the answer become because all the cool kids are doing it?? {tease}

Hey I don't have gems or money to burn but I'm burning them anyways simply because I CAN'T live without 2 LYD ok I'm exaggerating but not so much really I want them and i got most of them by saving gifts I haven't spent any money on my account ....yet they were for my sons and only bought £6.00 worth so far may be making it to another £3.00 soon though lmao x x x x

You will most likely get a Gold within the first 4-5 tries. Just don't try for a second one.

It suddenly just occurred to me, after reading Tommy's thoughts on the limited timing, and the fact it's called Leap YEAR and not Leap DAY - what if BFS is messing with everyone and it's NEXT March 1??? (2013) :-O

I've always followed the Noah's Ark principle and gotten two of everything for that reason. But that was before it was impossible to get a second one and the first one was a sucker punch to the kidneys. If it was possible to get a second one, don't you think that someone here other than the Big Three would have one? There are some pretty knowledgeable folks here. And the technical Wiki forum maintains that you can only get one.
