Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

:) Hey everyone wish u all the best of luck on the LYD and all the other dragons you may need but BFS just tweeted (Holy moly the Leap Year Dragon is in #DragonVale! This exceptionally rare #dragon will only be available for a short time! Breed one now!!!) I suggest u stop the presses (I always liked when they said it in the movies) and begin your LYD hunt before time runs out. No specific date was set as to when they'll be gone but you all should breed as much as you can just incase. Wish all the best o luck and Breed on!!!! :)
With all the folks who're commenting on not (taking a break to turn OFF auto-correct - wow) getting their LYD, or with spending so many gems, et al, I just wanted to point out that it's really these short-lived time-limit dragons which create such a sense of immediacy and causes this.

We didn't know how long the Panlong was going to be around until folks started stressing the YEAR part of it, and so we kind of relaxed and enjoyed the pursuit.

We didn't know how long the Love Dragon was going to be, but knew it couldn't be all year. So there was a rush there, and gems spent like mad. But it was also far easier to breed, which seemed to assuage that.

Now the LYD, despite the word YEAR also in its name, and we're all freaking out to breed one no matter the cost. BFS hints that this Leap YEAR Dragon will only be around a short time, which makes us all terrified we won't get it, so we spend and spend. Sart business practice on BFS' part.

We're all still fairly nonchalant about Moons and Suns and Rainbows, because those don't have any kind of time restriction. Which seems a whole lot more fun, to me, less stressful even if likewise less thrilling to finally get one.

I think we've all seen that BFS has turned up the chances of breeding any kind of rare, which makes it easier to get the LYD, which is nice considering it's got such a theoretically short shelf-life; kinda balances things out.

Just my thoughts.

P.S. Poppy, you hiring?

In case you missed it, the LYD disappears on March 1st (or after March 1st) so there is definitely a sense of urgency here. It's short shelf life is not theoretical, and considering it's a Leap Year Dragon, it's a long wait to try again if you miss it this time around ... not Halley's comet long, but still.

Having said that, I still haven't been spending gems to speed up my misses ... at least not yet.

This is kind of a sick joke....considering I'm after a Leap Year Dragon.

That is amazing!! Wish I had your bad luck!

Fletch...

If there's a single person here who can wait until the next leap year for a Gold, my money is on you.

My wife is way more wonderful than any of your wives are. And those of you here who are wives, my wife is way more wonderful than any of you. Which, of course, is why I picked her.

Thought you'd like to know.

Hahahaha I think my hubby would totally disagree!!

GREAT! Why tell us, you should TELL her instead:D
Oh, I do. If you looked at our phones' text message histories you would think we were a couple of junior high puppy love saps, rather than being only a couple days away from our eighteenth anniversary.

Text I sent to her today while I was on lunch:
I love you and love you and love you and love you, and you are pretty.
