Do you leave your iPad on while charging it?

Every night I take mine out of the case (to avoid trapping heat) and plug it in. I've never turned it completely off, but after reading this thread I'm going to try and remember to turn it off now and again - I didn't know about that memory leak phenomenon. Thanks!

Always left in standby when charging. Used to charge every night, but now I've got a case with an extra battery in it, it gets charged about twice a week as always has full charge. Only time the iPad itself gets a flat battery is after about 18 hours use. Reset about once a month, just because...

I never power down my iPad. It's on 24/7. Either during the day or at night I'll plug it in, n put it to sleep when not using it. Never had any issues.

Mine rarely is turned off intentionally at night, turns itself off only when sleeps steals me away from my precioussssss.....

Mine is plugged in now because I ran the battery down last night as suggested by one of our famous IPF moderators.

I always leave my battery until it runs off and switch off, then I recharge it which switched off!

There is one thing I don't understand ....
I usualy turn off my iPad at night but when I plug it in to charge the battery it turns itself back on without my doing anything ! Is that normal ? I can't see anyone reporting this 
