deleting apps

To delete apps on the iPad: Press and hold the app you want to delete until it starts to "wiggle" (Apple's term...). After it begins to wiggle, you'll see an X in the left corner of the app. Press that and you'll be offered an "are you sure?" confirmation notice. Press that and the app is then deleted. Rinse and repeat for all the apps you want to delete.
Note, however, that you cannot delete the apps that come default on the iPad, such as Mail or Safari. You'll know you can't delete those, however, because you won't get that X in the corner when they are wiggling.
