Deleting an app

i have Good Reader on two iPads and am having trouble with it on one iPad only.

If I delete it on that one device can I either restore it without buying it again, or if I delete and repurchase it I hope it won't delete from both devices?

You can delete and reinstall without having to pay up again.

No. My system is set up so that when my son downloads apps they also go to my phone. I routinely delete them, without affecting his phone/ipad.

Hold in mind that any local files stored in the GoodReader app will be deleted when you delete that app. Files stored in cloud services like DropBox or iCloud Drive will be unaffected, though you may have to sign into them on that iPad again.

Files that are syncing between the two devices will be in a cloud service.
